Here at Pex, we have built the largest audio-visual search engine in the world, helping creators and rightsholders understand the usage of their content online. We are building on this legacy of digital content identification to develop a market-disrupting copyright solution for the creator economy, which we call Attribution Engine. 
Attribution Engine is selected, installed and funded by platforms. ​Built on top of the Pex analytics and rights management technology, the Attribution Engine identifies use of audio and video copyright material, utilizes the registry to determine who those rightsholders are, checks the status of the licenses around that use and communicates distribution status to the platform within 5 seconds.
Attribution Engine is the first marketplace for copyrighted content, allowing platforms to manage and license content in real time and at scale, enabling rightsholders to take total control of their content, and empowering creators to upload and create new content freely while respecting copyright. We believe that this product will create a more balanced and equitable creator economy.

The Team:
The Revenue team at Pex empowers digital platforms to drive better business outcomes and ensures that rightsholders maximize the value and benefits gained from Pex services. They represent Pex on the market and our vision of a fair copyright environment for platforms, creators, and rightsholders. 
The Revenue team has two areas of focus - selling Attribution Engine to platforms and compelling rightsholders to participate in the registry. The Revenue Operations team supports this effort. As part of the Rev Ops team, you will focus on bringing in more opportunities, leads, and contacts on both the platforms and rightsholders side. 

The Role:
Pex is looking for a Sales Development Representative to accelerate our go-to-market strategy. In this role, you’ll be an integral part of our methodical and targeted outreach to a high volume of platforms and rights holders. You’ll support the top of the sales funnel by identifying new leads, creatively sourcing contacts, and introducing Pex to customers that we’re not yet in contact with. This is a very exciting time for the company and we need an eager and motivated person who can operate in a very data-driven and diligent manner, is strategic, resilient, and also a self-starter.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate, contact, and qualify platform and rightsholder leads for the Sales Team
  • Research new and backlogged accounts, helping to generate interest and identify valuable leads 
  • Build and maintain target prospect lists and key accounts 
  • Provide both cold and warm outreach to target to help get to the right contact in their organization 
  • Achieve and exceed monthly targets and expectations
  • Collect feedback from research and market prospects/contacts to share internally with sales leaders, marketing, and product

About You:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Drive and determination to see projects through from start to finish, closing deal is a team effort
  • Ability to thrive in a startup environment - ready to shift gears and targets rapidly
  • Confidence and ability to cold call without fear of rejection 
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic, fast-paced environment 
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to prioritize information quickly and succinctly 
  • Highly motivated, goal-oriented, quick learner, able to take initiative and problem-solve
  • Interest in or some knowledge of digital content and/or the creator economy 
  • Understand the need and importance of tracking outreach efforts with KPIs and reports using a CRM
  • Experience with Gmail, Hubspot, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator is a plus but not required

  • Salary: $65,000 - 75,000 base + OTE (on target earnings)
