What You'll Be Doing:

  • Developing best practices and procedures to ensure compliance with state and federal laws and regulations governing Telehealth and digital health
  • Providing legal counsel on a wide array of issues, including anti-kickback, fraud and abuse laws, corporate practice of medicine, national Telehealth professional standards, licensure requirements, FDA mobile medical app and medical device standards, FTC issues for mobile apps and online health programs, transactional issues, privacy and security, and other relevant state and federal laws and regulations
  • Negotiate terms for client agreements, partnership agreements, confidentiality agreements, statements of work, vendor agreements, data security agreements, requests for proposals (RFPs) and other documents
  • Work cross-functionally and provide legal guidance to various internal functions in the business including new opportunities and product lines
  • Review product offerings, programs, and initiatives to spot legal issues and advise business partners on a variety of laws, regulations, and industry best practices
  • Collaborate with internal and external experts to appropriately manage risk and compliance with policies, laws, rules, and regulations
  • Improve legal forms, processes, and procedures

What You'll Need:

  • 6+ years of experience with healthcare regulatory/compliance law as a law firm corporate associate or in-house corporate lawyer in a healthcare setting
  • Bachelor and law degrees
  • Bar admission in good standing (California preferred)
  • Experience in the Telehealth industry
  • experience with government regulatory agencies
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational and project management skills with strong attention to detail
  • Strong business acumen and excellent judgment
  • Ability to work under pressure and to independently prioritize and manage workload, manage simultaneous tasks, and meet deadlines within a changing fast-paced environment
  • CIPP certification
  • All-around team player who is a self-motivated, fast learner
  • Loves getting it done!
