The Position
We’re looking for a Digital Marketing Manager to be a foundational member of Framework’s marketing team as we bring a bold new promise to market in an exciting and competitive consumer electronics category.  This role is responsible for developing and executing on customer-facing product, brand, and growth campaigns across social, community, e-commerce, email, blog, and paid channels.  We’re building ethical consumer electronics products, with a focus on sustainability, privacy, transparency, and user ownership over their devices.  This means we have uniquely savvy and skeptical audiences who chafe at traditional marketing techniques.  We’re looking for someone who is excited to explore and experiment with creative, customer-friendly tactics.  As an early member of our marketing team, this role has the potential for enormous impact.
This is a remote position open to anywhere within the US. #LI-Remote

Responsibilities

  • Lead the overall digital marketing strategy around our consumer products and direct to consumer marketplace
  • Develop customer personas and research market opportunities to help craft our brand strategy and campaign development
  • Plan and execute on the near term and annual marketing campaign calendar, aligned to category seasonality and product launches
  • Work with our community lead to develop social and community initiatives and campaigns like referral programs and elevation of user generated content
  • Collaborate with design and development teams on e-commerce initiatives to develop our brand and drive growth
  • Help to grow our marketing team as we continue to scale our efforts in Framework

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in marketing, business, design, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in digital, brand, or content marketing for consumer products
  • Experience with digital marketing across social media, email, search, and display advertising
  • A desire and ability to wear multiple hats in the early stages of a company, including taking on slices of performance marketing, social media marketing, and brand development prior to there being dedicated people in those roles
  • Enthusiasm to start fresh with a clean sheet of paper, bringing new thinking in a bold new category to craft effective and efficient marketing plans
  • Inventiveness, curiosity, and a passion for building products that people love

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience in an early-stage startup or in standing up a new consumer product segment
  • Expertise with consumer electronics products
  • Experience creating and running affiliate and referral programs for consumer goods
  • Familiarity with direct to consumer e-commerce and performance marketing
  • Experience building and running campaigns across diverse international audiences
