About the RoleAs the Technical Business Analyst it is your mission to work closely with stakeholders, SMEs and our engineering team to ensure we are producing the right outcomes. You will lead complex, multi-disciplinary pieces of work and be equally comfortable working with leadership to set strategic goals and clarify priorities.

What will you accomplish?

  • Assist the software development teams in designing, building and delivering outcomes
  • Conduct analysis and propose solutions to aid and guide the development and expansion of our software
  • Capture and document user stories, behaviour driven development cases and acceptance criteria in conjunction with peers and other subject matter experts
  • Conduct gap analysis and provide alternative options and solutions
  • Document requirements and business rule definition in conjunction with relevant subject matter experts
  • Work closely with the team to clearly define and prioritise the backlog
  • Oversee quality control, peer review/signoff on project deliverable for areas of accountability
  • Creation, input and review of relevant project documentation and project plans
  • Prepare and conduct training where appropriate, working with the implementation teams to facilitate delivery of product changes to clients
  • Conduct functional, exploratory and user testing when required

What do we need from you?

  • Your proven experience as a Business Analyst or Product Owner, taking strong ownership of continuous delivery and integration environments
  • Your strong knowledge of credit terms. Debt collection is a plus
  • Your experience working in an Agile environment, adopting a consultative and cooperative approach to your work
  • Your project management, negotiation, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills enable you to thrive in continuous improvement and the resolution of complex issues 
  • Your outstanding interpersonal skills and clear and unambiguous communication skills, in-person and online, via email, phone and digital apps, combined with effective listening skills, enable you to establish and maintain effective relationships
  • You’re Excel savvy and feel comfortable using Tableau, databases and other data tools to gather the data to support your recommendations.
  • Prior experience at a SAAS company is desirable
  • Ability to analyze and think quickly and to resolve conflict
  • Ability to work with and influence a cross-functional team
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and mentoring skills
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment
  • Self-motivation and the ability to stay focused in the middle of distraction
  • Stakeholder management
  • Knowledgeable in technical concepts, systems and practices
  • Comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities

  • A love for navigating complexity and tackling ambiguous problems
  • Process-oriented but flexible in approach

Where will this role be based?
InDebted is a remote-first company. Work from anywhere you like, as long as you have a good internet connection and at least a 4-hour overlap with Australian Eastern Standard Time (UTC+10) during business hours.
