What You'll Be Doing:

  • Provide guidance to the business to ensure compliance to federal and state laws and regulations, through investigation of applicable laws and regulations
  • Collaborate with Senior Manager of Pharmacy Compliance and SMEs throughout the business to ensure state and federal regulations are identified and cited as “governing documents” in applicable standards, operating procedures and work instructions in every functional area
  • Partner cross functionally within Pharmacy Operations to help ensure compliance to federal and state laws and regulations in all departments of the business. Report any issues and risks to the Compliance officers and document any actions taken
  • Assist in the identification of goals and related client/patient outcomes. Coordinate, participate in, and report activities and outcomes to the quality management committee (QMC)
  • Update relevant Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions so they remain current and reflect any recent changes to pharmacy laws and regulations
  • Oversee the maintenance of all pharmacy permits, NCPDP/NPI registrations and DEA licenses
  • Oversee state Medicaid enrollment applications with pharmacy licensing analysts
  • Assist with the application, certification, and renewal activities for pharmacy network contracts with commercial and government payers as necessary
  • Lead and/or assist with special projects related to compliance or pharmacy practice.- Assist with the overall development and implementation of the process improvement (PI) Plan.

What You'll Need:

  • Pharmacy degree: Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Pharmacy
  • Strong knowledge of applicable laws, regulations and accreditation standards affecting the practice of pharmacy (federal, state, and local as well as HIPAA)
  • Good leadership, customer service, and teamwork skills
  • Minimum 4 years of work experience as a licensed Pharmacist
  • Great working knowledge of State and Federal pharmacy regulations, URAC/ACHC accreditation standards, HIPAA and privacy requirements, OSHA guidelines, and Medicare and Medicaid regulations is required
  • Minimum of 1+ years of quality or regulatory experience within the health care industry
  • Must have an active, valid, and unrestricted Pharmacist license to practice
  • Must be in good standing with Board of Pharmacy
  • Great attention to detail
  • Knowledge of Google Workspace, including Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets and Microsoft Office products software including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint software
  • Ability to work under pressure and to prioritize and manage workload, manage simultaneous tasks, and meet deadlines within a changing fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational and project management skills with strong attention to detail
  • All-around team player who is a self-motivated, fast learner
