What You'll Be Doing:

  • Prepare all documents required for pharmacy license renewals (Draft license renewal applications, supporting exhibits and attachments, and obtain required signatures)
  • Prepare all documents and obtain signatures required for resident and non-resident pharmacy license applications
  • Maintain pharmacy resident and nonresident licenses. Collaborate cross functionally within Pharmacy Operations to help ensure compliance to state laws and regulations in all departments of the business
  • Notify every state board of any change of corporate officers or pharmacist-in-charge, as applicable
  • Leading various state Medicaid enrollment applications with credentialing agents
  • Assist with the application, certification, and renewal activities for pharmacy network contracts with commercial and government payers
  • Collaborate with the Senior Manager of Pharmacy Compliance and SMEs throughout the business to ensure state and federal regulations are identified and cited as “governing documents” in applicable standards, operating procedures and work instructions in every functional area
  • When required, partners cross functionally within Pharmacy Operations to help ensure compliance to federal and state laws and regulations in all departments of the business. Report any issues and risks to the Compliance officers and document any actions taken
  • Prepare and document reporting per individual state PDMP requirements
  • Update relevant Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions so they remain current and reflect any recent changes to pharmacy laws and regulations
  • Provide support to the business to ensure compliance to federal and state laws and regulations, through investigation of applicable laws and regulations
  • Lead and/or assist with special projects related to compliance or pharmacy practice.

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in physical or life science, pharmacy, or nursing bachelor’s degree or Associate Degree in health sciences, nursing or pharmacy preferred, not required. Comparable or relevant experience will be considered
  • Pharmacy technician with an active, valid, and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license to practice is preferred
  • A Pharmacy technician must be in good standing with Board of Pharmacy
  • Specific knowledge of applicable laws, regulations and accreditation standards affecting the practice of pharmacy (federal, state, and local as well as HIPAA
  • Great attention to detail
  • Knowledge of Google Workspace, including Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets and Microsoft Office products software including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint software
  • Professional communication skills
  • Pharmacy experience – 1–2 years (preferred)
  • Quality or Regulatory experience within the healthcare industry – 0-1 year
  • Knowledge of Pharmacy laws and regulations – 0-1 year
  • Experience with startups and/or healthcare companies is a benefit
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational and project management skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and to prioritize and manage workload, manage simultaneous tasks, and meet deadlines within a changing fast-paced environment
  • All-around team player who is a self-motivated, fast learner
