In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Lead daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial operations reporting such as third-party custodian, client statements, and CRM2 reporting
  • Assist with daily security pricing validations
  • Maintain detailed documentation for existing and new processes and workflows
  • Work with our Book of Record Engineering team members to provide guidance in regulatory reporting standards such as IIROC and OSC and collaborate in best practices
  • Implement and monitor metrics for critical operational processes such as report delivery SLAs
  • Communicate regularly with stakeholders such as Engineering, Finance, and Trading to understand new processes and workflows
  • Support ad hoc reconciliation projections and book of record operations

Skills we're looking for:

  • Experience in accounting/financial operations and/or financial reporting
  • Deep knowledge of Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) & Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC) regulatory requirements
  • Detail-Orientation: Has a keen eye for detail and gets excited about figuring out intricate processes and workflows
  • Action Oriented: Acts with urgency with a move-fast mentality; we believe in doing our efficient research upfront and implementing in an iterative way that allows us to learn and correct as we go
  • Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work cross-functionally with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Communication: able to convey complex ideas succinctly and with great precision in thought and documentation
  • Prioritization & problem-solving: Knows how to break down complex problems and identify root causes. Knows how to balance what needs to be done with what’s possible to do. Understands the scope of an issue and its priority
  • Resourcefulness: Knows where to start when presented with a complex problem and able to self-drive the analysis required
  • Analytics: Practical SQL and Oracle knowledge is an asset
