Tessian protects every business’s mission by securing the human layer 💫
We're building intelligent security that works for human beings as they are, not how security policies would like them to be. Using machine learning technology, Tessian automatically predicts and eliminates advanced threats on email caused by human error - like data exfiltration, accidental data loss, business email compromise and phishing attacks - with minimal disruption to employees' workflow. As a result, employees are empowered to do their best work, without security getting in their way. You can read more about Human Layer Security here.
Tessian has raised a $74m Series C led by renowned security investors, March Capital (Crowdstrike, Knowbe4), with follow-on from Sequoia, Accel, Balderton, Latitude, Okta, Sozo, Citi & Schroder Adveq, to further our mission to secure the human layer.
Founded in 2013, Tessian is backed by world-class venture capital investors, has hubs in London, San Francisco, Boston, and Austin, and is one of the Top-3 2021 Best Places to Work for Women.
Engineering at Tessian
We are thrilled to be hiring an entry-level (including graduates & career-changers) cohort to join Tessian on 5 September 2022 as Associate Backend Python Engineers.
Our mission is to keep the world’s most sensitive data private and secure - to do this we're looking for brilliant technophiles like you to join us & to help support our next stage of rocket-ship growth 🚀 We're building machine-intelligent filters to secure enterprise communications. This involves high volume, low latency data processing for some of the world’s largest organisations. Our backend systems power the whole company and our teams have touch points with all of our engineering teams. From deploying data science models in production, to integrating with our front-end, you'll be involved in projects that span all aspects of the business.  Our teams are made up of people from diverse backgrounds; some have been building Python systems for years and some have learnt the ins and outs of Python on the job, and we welcome Associates of all ages, from all backgrounds and walks of life. Please note, this role will require being able to come into to our London office (near Liverpool Street) once restrictions lift; you'll get plenty of work from home, however you'll want to be within commuting distance to come in for training & regular team meetings.

You'll get to:

  • Join an ambitious team with direct impact solving hard problems for our customers
  • Get your code in to production ASAP - with coaching from a great Tessian mentor
  • Design reliable distributed systems that handle high volumes of data with low latency
  • Have brilliant growth opportunities in line with our Engineering Development Framework

  • Tackle the challenges that come with processing highly sensitive data

The process will look like this:

  • Stage 2: a remote video call with a member of our Talent team (non-technical) - by 15 February 2022
  • Stage 3: Remote code pair - a code pair with one of our Engineers, where you find out more about our Tech - by 28 February 2022
  • Stage 4: Final interviews; this may be assessment centre-style, depending on the travel & safety situation (March 2022)
  • Stage 5: Offers! (by April 2022)
