About the role
This is a fully remote role based in the United States

Responsibilities

  • Support regulatory team with day-to-day needs, including but not limited to project management and tracking, drafting and proofreading legal memoranda and other communications, and legal and regulatory research
  • Assist with onboarding legal vendors, the management of our electronic billing system, and communication to various law firms on billing matters
  • Oversee processes and technology solutions for knowledge management across the regulatory team, including organizing shared files and other resources
  • Identify areas of improvement for legal workflows and processes, and propose and implement solutions
  • Prepare meeting materials and PowerPoint presentations; schedule conference calls and web-based meetings
  • Assist on legal and cross-functional projects as they arise

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience in legal support or operations, either at a major law firm or in-house.
  • Excellent judgment, attention to detail, and ability to work independently
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to execute under pressure and within tight timelines while juggling multiple projects
  • A self-starter with enthusiasm, who can work independently with minimal oversight but who is also a team player and can support projects when needed with a “no job is too small” attitude.
  • Versatility, flexibility, ability, and willingness to work within an organization with constantly changing priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion

Nice to haves

  • Passion for the crypto industry
  • Experience with regulated financial services firms
  • Familiar with SimpleLegal, Carta, Athenian, Slack, or other related software systems
