About the role:We’re hiring a Lifecycle Marketing Specialist to play a critical role in Wealthsimple’s proactive client communication initiatives. This role is both technical and creative where you’ll work on the planning and execution of end-to-end lifecycle marketing campaigns across Wealthsimple’s brand and product ecosystem. 
The ideal candidate is one who can think “client first”, who can balance multiple projects simultaneously without sacrificing on quality, and who understands the interconnected technical and creative elements of consumer performance marketing programs. You’ll be joining our multidisciplinary Growth organization where you’ll work with stakeholders from Product, Engineering, Design, Data Science, Communications & Engineering and other growth and lifecycle marketers like yourself.

In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Own day-to-day execution of lifecycle marketing campaigns across a variety of channels (esp. email and mobile push) including segmenting target audiences, orchestrating multi-channel journeys, building templates, QA & deploying campaigns, and reporting on performance
  • Work with Lifecycle Marketing Managers to design and implement automated, multi-channel programs and experiments across the client lifecycle
  • Ideate & experiment on lifecycle strategies/tactics to drive activation, retention, engagement and cross-sell of users within Wealthsimple’s product ecosystem (eg. promotions, incentives)
  • Analyze campaign and program performance; proactively report on campaign impact, client behaviours, and experimental results/learnings
  • Maintain and execute against Wealthsimple’s lifecycle marketing promotional campaign calendar
  • Execute and analyze A/B tests to increase campaign performance and conversion rates

We’re looking for someone who has/is:

  • A thoughtful, critical thinker who follows a systematic and rigorous approach to problem solving
  • Proven success in working with cross-functional teams, such as Product, Creative, and Data Science, to create and execute against shared goals that are based on data-informed hypotheses
  • Scrappy and has a willingness to learn. Executing quickly to allow for continual iteration and experimentation are core principles of our team
  • Shipped end-to-end messaging campaigns. You incept an idea, see it all the way through to implementation and learn how to improve on it next
  • An understanding of key elements of acquisition, activation, engagement and retention strategies, including customer journeys, lifecycle marketing (CRM), marketing automation and the metrics impacted
  • Able to digest ambiguous data sets and environments, communicate critical insights, and ask the right questions due to your robust analytical skillset
  • Naturally collaborative and empathetic. You're comfortable working with a diverse group of stakeholders across the organization and making sure every voice is heard
  • Experience with marketing automation technology (ex. Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Braze, Iterable, Sendgrid, etc.)

We’re looking for someone who has/is:

  • 2+ years hands-on experience using marketing automation tools/ESPs (e.g. Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Braze, Iterable, Sendgrid, etc.); demonstrated ability to rapidly adapt to new tools and processes
  • 1+ year experience coding for email, or equivalent HTML/CSS skill required; SQL experience a plus
  • Understanding of email marketing best practices including responsive design, inboxing/deliverability, and audience segmentation
  • Campaign performance analysis & reporting, A/B testing experience required; demonstrated experimental design ability a strong plus
  • Familiarity with key elements of lifecycle marketing acquisition, activation, engagement, and retention strategies & tactics (esp. automated customer journeys, triggered coms, and multi-channel campaigns)
  • Proven success in working with cross-functional teams (e.g. Marketing, Product, Creative, etc.) to set and execute against data-informed growth targets/OKRs
  • Naturally collaborative and empathetic — both with colleagues and on behalf of clients
