About the Team and Role:Since Opendoor first started operating in 2014, we’ve learned a lot about buying, managing, and selling real estate. The Homebase unit within Opendoor offers our technology and processes to institutional single-family-home investment partners. As the expansion leader on the team, you are responsible for expanding our footprint to allow us to offer our tools and services to our institutional partners in more places on the map.
As the Enterprise Expansion Manager, you will handle project management, conduct market research, and work on MLS data acquisition, and coordinate resources across multiple departments like legal, brokerage, engineering, and our Homebase operations team. You'll work closely with our Homebase leadership and support all aspects of the new market launch process nationwide. This isn’t your first rodeo, so we’ll rely on your past experience and relationships to lead the way to successfully meet an aggressive launch timeline.
In this role you will: • Develop and execute on our expansion roadmap in partnership with our legal, brokerage, engineering, and operations teams, enabling us to offer real estate services and MLS-powered tools wherever our partners need them.• Provide decision-making support and thought leadership to the Homebase leadership team.• Translate business, brokerage and MLS requirements into clear requests for the technical teams building products and tools for our partners.• Oversee our ongoing brokerage licensing and MLS data feed compliance.• In partnership with our Industry Relations team, you’ll strengthen and expand our relationships with multiple listing services and real estate associations.
We're looking for teammates who have:• 5-7+ years professional experience in project management, business operations, or market launch• Deep understanding of real estate brokerage and real estate data (i.e., you’ve been at the helm of launching a real estate brokerage and acquiring MLS data feeds)• Track record of meeting ambitious goals and rallying a team and the organization behind them  • Excellent communication skills: written, verbal and listening• Ability to successfully accomplish tasks quickly with minimal direction or oversight• Start-up experience, with the ability to interact and influence sales professionals and managers • Process-driven mentality with a high attention to detail • Ability to see around corners and prioritize conflicting challenges• Real estate experience preferred• SQL experience is a plus
