What you’ll do

  • Use social media in an innovative way to change the way people think about banking and to introduce them to Varo
  • Develop and maintain a Varo voice and visual identity that is unique and tailored to each social platform
  • Partner with the social team on the strategy, planning, and execution of our content calendar
  • Curate engaging and creative campaigns that attract the attention of thousands.
  • Test and iterate on creative ideas to ensure relevance and impact
  • Create comprehensive briefs that balance smart strategy and beautiful content
  • Leverage data to optimize and create the most compelling customer comms. Package this listening and insights and share them across cross functional teams
  • Report on goals and progress of both day-to-day content as well as broader campaign performance 
  • Work collaboratively with Product, Brand, Design, Marketing, Legal, Risk, Compliance, and Customer Service teams to communicate trends and key findings
  • Design and execute influencer marketing plans that are tied to a campaign or product launches
  • Research, recommend, and launch new social media channels to support our growth and community

Skills and experience that’ll help you be great

  • 3-5 years experience managing social media content and building a community of loyal customers
  • Active social media presence and familiarity with all major social platforms
  • Experience onboarding and working with content creators
  • Experience managing and launching sweepstakes/contests
  • You are on top of trends and have the ability to adapt on the fly and test out new ideas to stand out among a vast number of competitors
  • Excellent written and communication skills with an obsessive attention to detail
  • Strong aesthetic & visual perspective, plus experience designing social media content
  • Experience growing brands on platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and Twitter.
  • You’re comfortable being on camera occasionally to engage with our audience
  • A passion for connecting with consumers and telling their story 
  • You thrive in a fast-paced environment and can multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously across various audiences
  • Strong cross-group and cross-division collaboration skills 
  • The ability to think differently, challenge conventional wisdom, and drive new best practices
  • Branding/Consumer Technology/Consumer Goods experience required
