Microsoft Teams subject matter expert required to work on the successful deployment of 8x8 Unified Communications services both directly, and through the utilization of 3rd party resources.


  • Work directly with customers to learn, understand, articulate and document existing processes.
  • Define an approach and guide the customer and end-users on best practices
  • Work together with multiple departments to successfully complete the deployment of 8x8’s enterprise-grade cloud telephony solution for Microsoft Teams environments allowing global organizations to scale and deliver work-from-anywhere communications
  • Develop and conduct training materials and deliver training successfully to end users
  • Deliver workshops and user sessions

Technical Skills and Experience Required:

  • Strong level of progressive, relevant industry experience in an enterprise environment
  • “SME” level experience in Teams and Skype for Business Online
  • Experience working in a Consulting Environment
  • Experience designing and implementing Office 365 Enterprise Solutions and creating high-level strategy for uniform enterprise adoption
  • Experienced in working with large geographically dispersed teams
  • Growth in technical skills through certifications or other similar achievements is desired
  • Enterprise global voice estates of c15,000 seats and above
  • Deep level of understanding of voice technologies: TDM, SIP, QoS, SBC, Codecs, Voice Recording and general IPT
  • Call / Contact Centre Technology and Cloud PBX
  • International voice and video strategy deployment
  • Working knowledge of Google, Office-365 and Microsoft Collaboration suites and experience in managing Collaboration Technologies
  • ITIL operational awareness and understanding
  • Relevant Microsoft skills and certification: Office 365, Skype and Azure
  • Voice vendor skills such as Avaya, Poly, Cisco, awareness and understanding
  • Strong PowerShell skills
  • Office 365 (with an emphasis on Microsoft Teams voice integration and migrations)
  • Knowledge of broader O365/M365 products
  • Stack awareness of Unified Communications 3rd Party products
  • Microsoft Exchange
  • Microsoft EMS
  • Cloud Voicemail
  • Active Directory, AAD Connect and Hybrid Identify Management
  • Microsoft Skype for Business 2015/2019 advantageous but not essential

Qualifications (Desirable):

  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator
  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Administrator Associate
  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Security Administrator Associate
  • Microsoft 365 Certified Fundamentals
  • Microsoft Certified Power Platform Fundamentals
  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate
  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Teamwork Administrator Associate
