VP of Product / Remote / Product / Full-TimeTL;DR: Hypergrowth startup seeking VP Product. You will help On Deck empower the most ambitious people in the world to start companies, join companies, and level up their careers.

A little bit about product at On Deck

  • Product ownership is truly end-to-end, from defining strategy and goals in partnership with leadership all the way through polished rollout
  • We have five product engineering teams, led by PMs and product-focused engineers
  • Product teams are small but growing; they include a PM, tech lead, software engineers, designers (sometimes shared), plus a data team (shared)
  • We expect the product team to double within the first 6 months, you will play a key role in recruiting and vetting top product talent
  • Product teams are highly autonomous, the people closest to the users truly own the decisions about what is best for On Deck

What you'll do

  • Inspire the company – Create and steward a product strategy and vision in partnership with the executive team, product design, and business partners
  • Lead a talented product team – you love helping product people grow and develop in their careers, and can guide them towards shipping the right things
  • Build a world-class product org – you'll be focused on hiring and enablement, process improvements, partnerships with design / eng / data etc
  • Create bridges across On Deck — our user experience is more than software; you'll set up shared goals and communication flows across the company
  • Nurture a healthy and happy team culture – you'll create an environment of trust, support and innovation
  • Roll up your sleeves if needed – you'll help get prioritization right given we're still small

LocationOur team works remotely and we are excited about candidates globally. Please note that most of our product engineering team works between GMT-8 and GMT+3. We work fairly asynchronously but candidates from these regions will be preferred.
