What You'll Be Doing:

  • Experience leading and incident response, security operations or detection engineering teams
  • Maintain IR playbooks and investigate events leading to potential incidents
  • Maintain operations and executive incident reporting
  • Ensures IR playbooks are maintained and provides training to other internal personnel as needed
  • Maintain a strong understanding of current industry threat and vulnerability landscapes
  • Possess a strong understanding of SIEM technologies, secure internet gateways, EDR/MDR, IDS, IPS
  • Familiar with native cloud architectures as AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Maintain a strong understanding of current cybersecurity threats and countermeasures, such as Advanced Persistent Threats (APTs), cyber-crime, hacktivism, and associated tactics
  • Knowledge of industry standard frameworks as NIST, ISO, PCI, HIPAA
  • Previous experience delivering end-to-end cybersecurity incident response solutions
  • Collaborate in containment, eradication and remediation efforts with the incident response team by detecting, analyzing and performing remediation on attacks that deny the use of authorized applications, network systems or other resources while working in partnership with the constituents that consist of enterprise legal staff, litigation or Ethics and Compliance
  • Develop and accumulate lessons learned documentation from incidents to identify controls to prevent identified malicious activity from reoccurring
  • Demonstrated ability to hire engineers and build out a team

What You'll Need:

  • Good understanding and experience of Linux and Windows operating systems
  • Good understanding and exposure to network and web application security
  • Able to communicate vulnerabilities, solutions, and enterprise trends to all levels of an enterprise – both technical and non-technical resources
  • Able to write and deliver reports to Security Officer
  • Able to work directly with departments on troublesome vulnerability issues
  • Want to provide support and answering queries
  • Ability to communicate with customers in a clear and concise manner
  • Critical Thinking: Thoughtful process of analyzing data and problem solving data to reach a well-reasoned solution
  • Team Mentality: Partnering effectively to drive our culture and execute on our common goals
  • Ability to influence with or without authority to achieve desired outcomes
