Responsible for elevating strategic alliance relationships and driving global marketing programs that benefit both organizations and position Rackspace as the leading Managed Cloud Provider. builds global co- marketing plans that support a multi-year joint strategic vision and roadmap. Ensures global alignment of integrated marketing programs including demand generation, events and marketing communications to the global plan.
This role may work remotely from any eligible U.S. location (see below).

Key Responsibilities

  • Uses specialized expertise in one or more areas to interpret internal or external business issues and recommends best practices.
  • Solves complex problems and takes a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions.
  • Develops global marketing plans across sales, marketing, alliances and business units.
  • Ensures regional plan alignment for end-to-end integration and marketing execution efficiencies.
  • Manages market development funds (MDF) allocation and tracking in support of worldwide strategies and policy.
  • Works with the cross-functional core alliance team and Alliance Manager to identify and build business case for new areas of co-investment by the Alliance.
  • Tracks and report execution metrics and KPIs on a consistent basis.
  • Initiates conversations about market opportunity for joint solutions and drives a line of questioning that helps uncover future investment areas.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Broad business acumen.
  • Subject matter expertise and a deep understanding of joint alliance solutions that translate into impactful, integrated go-to-market plans focused on exceeding marketing and business objectives.
  • Ability to foster confidence and buy-in for deeper investments.
  • Global experience in Alliance Marketing and other marketing disciplines including MDF management, marketing communications and demand generation.
  • Product/Solution Marketing a plus.
  • Ability to proactively broker connections between Rackspace and Alliance marketing to enable business goals and greater investment.
  • Ability to create broad business strategies that will allow Rackspace to align more deeply with strategic partnerships.
  • Ability to work effectively across teams to solve Rackspace and Alliance issues, leverage best practices and deliver strong results through partners.
  • Ability to solicit “buy-in” from a variety of positions across many levels of the Rackspace and Alliance organization.
  • Ability to expertly navigate and have success in matrix environments.
  • Great leadership skills and strong passion for building and driving exemplary business outcomes.
  • Proven success creating and implementing marketing strategy and campaigns with partners at scale with a recognized industry leader


  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field required. Masters of Business Administration a plus. High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 10+ years of professional marketing experience in a fast-paced B2B environment, preferably in the IT industry, including at least 5 years demonstrated success in owning and developing partner marketing programs
