Compliance at Valon  
The Compliance team at Valon is responsible for guiding the company to comply with various laws, regulations, industry codes and standards, investor guidelines, and company policies. As a member of the team, you will help provide compliance guidance and feedback in the development of products and operational processes. You will work with various stakeholders across the company including, product managers, designers, engineers, and operators.
About the Role
This position will be responsible for guiding the regulatory guidelines for Valon’s servicing business. You will be reporting into the Chief Compliance Officer and working closely with the operations, product, and other external stakeholders.


  • Provide compliance guidance at the investor, local, state, and federal levels for the servicing business
  • Review servicing related products and policies and procedures for sign-off
  • Keep abreast of agency and investor guidelines and requirements 
  • Manage the company’s change management process
  • Define scope for compliance-related testing and audits
  • Collaborate with other departments as needed to ensure compliance issues are addressed
  • Assist in providing guidance around compliance-related inquiries 

Ideal Background

  • Experience with Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac/Ginnie loans
  • A legal background a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment

Minimum Qualifications

  • 7+ years of mortgage servicing experience 
  • Knowledge in various regulatory requirements including: RESPA, FCRA, Fair Servicing, etc.
