We are looking for someone to join our Product team as a Director of Solutions Architect, responsible for leading the fast-growing Solutions Architect team to unlock more scale, sustainability and effective process for the team. This person will report directly to the Head of Product Operations .
As a leader of the Solution Architect organization you’ll continue to scale one of the most high-impact, dynamic and cross-functional teams at Color owning understanding potential customers’ technical needs and translating (or building toward) how our platform offerings could match those needs. 
You will seek to find ways to continue to operationalize delivery of services and sustainably scale the team, knowing that systems will require continuous iteration as Color continues to grow at rapid speed. You’ll also be responsible for mentoring and training team members, demonstrating a strategic mindset and dedicating yourself to growth, development, and guidance of your team.

Your work will have a direct impact on people’s lives by providing the support needed to scale the availability and accessibility of COVID-19 testing and other health services, and ensuring the operations team is optimized and streamlined at scale.

How You’ll Contribute:

  • Lead and manage a team of Solutions Architects focusing on the entire customer lifecycle from pre-sales, implementation and ongoing technical support. 
  • Create an inclusive and joyful culture operating as a servant leader who is humble, has high EQ, is open-minded, seeks ongoing feedback and operates with high integrity.
  • Successfully collaborate cross-functionally with Customer Success, Sales, Support, Product and Engineering to ensure the team is effectively partnering throughout the customer lifecycle seeking out opportunities to iterate and improve on the process for all stakeholders. 
  • Own technical customer escalations, partnering with Engineering and Client Services leadership to ensure customer issues are resolved, the customer is kept informed of progress and documentation internally and externally is created. 
  • Support the team as the technical voice of the customer, enabling systems that allow for providing timely, well documented and insightful input back to engineering and product management teams to ensure we’re meeting the needs of a very dynamic market. 
  • Maintain and iterate on team onboarding and ongoing training to develop and maintain expertise in all of Color’s platform offerings and net new feature deployments.
  • Create systems for effective sharing of scalable documentation of technical solutions that can be used across customers to support scaling the Solutions Architect team and drive consistent with our implementation offerings. 
  • Collaborate with the Head of Product Operations to manage the planning and direction of the Solution Architect organization through clear goal setting, objectives, plans of execution and team metrics. 
  • Own providing regular reporting of the impact of the Solutions Architect team - celebrating big customer implementations, opportunities for improvement to processes and key metrics for the team. 

Our Ideal Candidate will Have/Be:

  • 5+ years of work experience leading and scaling customer facing technical teams such as Sales Engineers or Solutions Architects; experience at a fast-growth company greatly preferred 
  • Previous experience successfully partnering with cross-functional team leads including Client Services, Sales, Support, Product and Engineering 
  • High EQ leader who can challenge, support and lead people to be able to do their best work 
  • Excited to roll up your sleeves and dive in where you can have an impact, even if that means doing work outside your exact job description at times 
  • Has strong communication and organization skills, with the ability to synthesize and disseminate information out quickly. 
  • Experience handling enterprise customer escalations and engagements directly with external customers providing timely updates, synthesize issues and documenting progress. 
  • Able to identify process gaps, create solutions and continually iterate on processes as the team grows and needs change
  • Has the ability to multi-task across multiple projects, teams, and deadlines
  • Experience coding in Python, Ruby, Java, or equivalent
  • Experience with SQL, Databases and APIs 
  • Experience in HealthTech a plus
