The RoleThe Director of People Technology is a leader with extensive experience in the HR technology space and has a successful track record of defining and executing on a multi-year global HR technology strategy. In this role, the Director of People Technology will work closely with HR, IT, and business stakeholders to balance strategic and operational needs to gain consensus for the global HR systems roadmap. This role will serve as an expert resource in designing best practice solutions with high impact experiences and building and implementing scalable technology.
The ideal candidate will be proactive, consultative, and have deep functional experience with Workday Core HCM and iCIMS Applicant Tracking.


  • Serve as a HR Technology Solutions Architect, leading the roadmap for HCM and Recruiting systems including use, enhancement, and continued evolution in support of the HR function
  • Lead and develop a collaborative, high performing team of HRIS professionals
  • Translate business priorities into innovative solutions that address key business challenges and capability requirements across the HR function and global employee population
  • Demonstrate thought leadership and leverage industry best practices to accelerate digital transformation, self-service, and enhanced employee and candidate experience
  • Establish strong governance and controls, ensuring the integrity and protection of data and reports
  • Partner and provide oversight with HR Analytics to ensure data quality, advance the maturity of HR Analytics, and enable a data driven culture
  • Plan and manage the request backlog ensuring that projects are prioritized and delivered on a bi-weekly cadence
  • Establish and manage best practice processes for project delivery, maintenance work, and change control
  • Partner with Business Process Engineering to facilitate the documentation of business requirements, review functional specifications, assess impact analysis on HR Operations, Recruiting Operations, Centers of Expertise, and other HR functions and processes
  • Facilitate the development and review of comprehensive test plans with associated results, overseeing testing and issue resolution as it relates to HR system projects
  • Direct and manage external (managed service) resources
  • Lead and manage the bi-annual Workday and iCIMS releases, advising on new functionality and identifying opportunities for Medallia to utilize new features and enhance business processes
  • Interface with Medallia IT to successfully coordinate HR technology integration efforts
  • Develop and administer service level agreements and an issue escalation matrix
  • Perform Tier 1 + 2 super user support for Workday and iCIMS and determine delegation of issues to managed service support team
  • Perform Tier 2 + 3 super user support for Integrations and determine delegation of issues to managed service support team

Minimum Qualifications

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in a HR systems role
  • 5+ years of management experience leading a team in a dynamic environment
  • Experience with Workday HCM, including Advanced Compensation and Dashboards

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Workday Time Tracking and Succession Planning
  • Experience in a HR shared services environment or COEiCIMS applicant tracking system experience
  • Experience with iCIMs Nurture and Talent Cloud AIExtensive analytical abilities and technical skills to evaluate alternative approaches and recommend the most feasible solutions
  • Strong project management skills, including defining, organizing, planning, and executing projects throughout technology deployments
  • Knowledge of GDPR, data privacy issues, laws and regulations associated with HR operations 
  • Experience with applicant tracking and offer management technologies
  • Experience with emerging Talent Acquisition solutions and workflow management systems including ServiceNow
  • Experience with managing third party resources and vendor relationship management
