About the roleWe’re looking for a Bilingual Content Localization Specialist who can champion the Wealthsimple voice across all marketing channels and elevate the French-Canadian experience. You’ll work closely with our team of copywriters to craft narratives that make Wealthsimple products feel both human and accessible. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with passionate teams including Designers, Operations, Product Marketing, and Lifecycle to ideate and execute on go-to-market language. 

Within 3 months, you’ll:

  • Onboard to our team get to know our brand voice
  • Help us identify workflow optimizations
  • Bring clarity and humanity to confusing and intimidating financial language
  • Engage with and advise Designers, Product Marketing, and Project Managers to help create marketing experiences that include local considerations from the start

Within 6 months, you’ll:

  • Ensure consistency in our brand and tone across all marketing channels
  • Build a strong understanding of our French-speaking clients & local considerations across our teams
  • Build and optimize processes, including managing freelance translators & French-speaking copywriters
  • Create best-in-class client experiences through content, including:
  • Marketing copy that elevates the French-Canadian experienceEmail and dotcom writing that feels intelligent, approachable, and humanCollaboration with project owners and Creative to deliver beautiful yet informative work

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Is fluent in both Canadian French and English
  • Has professional experience leading translation and localization
  • Is comfortable with hands-on translation work
  • Works quickly and decisively across multiple contexts
  • Has a knack for project management and loves building processes
  • Is an excellent collaborator and listener who loves to work with others to understand and solve problems
  • Is passionate about copywriting and can participate in creative brainstorming sessions
  • Thinks personal finance and investing are interesting, and is excited to make them accessible to others!
