About the Role:We are seeking a deployment engineer to support fast growing demand for our revolutionary products in our larger customer base. As a deployment engineer you will work directly with customers, supporting them on their journey to integrate Matterports technology into their systems. This role is part of the sales engineering team, and focused on deployment/implementation, the role reports to the regional Sales Engineering leader.
Matterport is a remote workplace with headquarters in Sunnyvale, CA. This position can be based remotely in the United States #LI-Remote

What you will do:

  • Partner with the sales teams to engage with large customers that are integrating Matterports API, SDK and Capture Services capabilities and own the successful deployment of the technology with the customer
  • Lead the deployment/implementation with the customer including advising on architecture, providing product education and technical issue resolution
  • Work hands on with Matterport’s technology including demonstrating integrations and prototypes using the APIs and SDKs
  • Build and publish implementation guides for customers that demonstrate best practices and integrations with Enterprise systems
  • Partner with Matterport product teams to gather and provide feedback from customers

Who you are:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a consulting, technical pre-sales or implementation role
  • Hands on experience with web APIs, integrating with enterprise systems and web UI development with Javascript to implementation solutions and prototype proof of concepts 
  • Experience with Enterprise Architecture and IT systems, Cloud technologies, cloud security and common authentication technology such as SSO and OAuth
  • Understanding of 3D (models, point clouds, images) related data and workflows prospective clients would use with the Matterport capture system
  • Experience with implementing solutions with large customers and their design, development and deployment practices.
  • Experience with image capture and 3D laser scanning technologies and workflows
  • Knowledge with Autodesk, SketchUp, Procore, PlanGrid and related SW products is a must
