The Role:
As a Business Analyst for Payroll you are a critical member of the team tasked with eliminating the stress of payroll compliance and making it easier for small business owners to pay and manage their people. 
You’ll work closely with Product Managers/Owners, Senior Product Managers and  Engineering  teams to ensure customer and commercial goals for the product are effectively translated into stories, epics and tasks for the development team, and that the development team has all of the information it needs day to day to deliver.  

The Team:

  • We’re expanding our Payroll business, building a new cross functional team based in the UK
  • You’ll be working closely with the Product Owner, Product lead (our expert in Payroll and compliance), designers and engineers to build new features and improve existing functionality

You will have the opportunity to

  • Perform detailed business analysis to support the creation of product solutions and describe the actual work to be undertaken by delivery teams
  • Create high quality user stories and acceptance criteria that ensure customer, business and regulatory needs are accurately translated into achievable customer-centred software development activity
  • Provide subject matter expertise around payroll workflows, business rules, customer needs and regulatory requirements to delivery teams throughout the product development process
  • Support delivery teams with User Acceptance Testing prior to product launch
  • Provide subject matter expertise to the broader product team and stakeholders as needed throughout product development, product launch and ongoing lifecycle management
  • Ongoing compliance audit/assessment of the UK Payroll product and competitor offerings
  • Ensure that product development activity (whether directly compliance related or not) has a compliance lens applied to it to understand, consider and manage any direct/indirect compliance implications on the broader product
  • Help manage and resolve product incidents and customer experience issues

In order to be successful in this role, you will have

  • Proven experience working as a Business Analyst in a software / product environment
  • Experience working in a cross functional environment and collaborating with Developers/ Designers etc
  • The ability to translate complex and technical information into easily-digestible forms
  • Proven communication and stakeholder management skills
