In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Support the monthly close and consolidation process including preparing journal entries, and ensuring the consolidated financial statements are properly prepared
  • Prepare quarterly and year end financial statements along with corresponding notes
  • Support the year end audit process and deliverables
  • Perform technical accounting research, prepare position papers for new and complex transactions
  • Investigate and correct discrepancies/irregularities in financial entries, documents and reports
  • Be responsible for identifying and implementing process improvements including documentation of controls

Skills we're looking for:

  • Relevant work experience: 3+ years of demonstrated success in month end accounting and finance functions with professional designation (CPA or equivalent)
  • Organization and planning: Independently plans and organizes proactively, focusing on key priorities and adapting when required
  • Action orientation: A clear bias for action and ability to act without being told what to do, with a mindset of using technology first to solve problems
  • Communication: Able to communicating complex ideas in a simple and easy-to-understand way; written documentation and spreadsheets are properly referenced and easy to follow. 
  • Naturally Curious: if something seems off, you want to figure out what’s going on
