We are looking for a product manager to own a portion of the Rackspace Data Services product portfolio

You Will:

  • You will manage the end-to-end product strategy and roadmap and feature set of the ObjectRocket platform, a highly scalable and best-in-class database-as-a-service platform built to support high-growth businesses with their most challenging database needs
  • You will act as the day-to-day manager and P&L owner for the product

  • You will be focused on becoming the Subject Matter Expert for your product and driving the product forward including:
  • Managing the backlog and Agile SCRUM processes for your product
  • Building a roadmap based on customer feedback, support feedback, industry trends, and other research
  • Analyzing business metrics to evaluate the success of your product
  • Ensure existing customers can effectively scale on the platform
  • Supporting sales on customer calls to help win deals and gather customer feedback
  • Manage a small number of strategic partnerships to support the business
  • Build strong channels of collaboration with engineering and SRE teams
  • Generating and reviewing content to promote the company and product both internally and externally
  • Develops business cases for new offerings
  • Driving requirements back to other teams that support your product
  • Inspiring and motivating the other members of the team to deliver the greatest possible product
  • Able to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and act as a strategic partner in product portfolio decisions
  • Independent and Responsible – You love to be given a task and OWN IT without continuous oversight
  • You love the responsibility of being the owner of a product and consistently delivering results without having to be asked

You Have:

  • 6-10 years of product management experience, with a proven track record of product ownership and success in growing products
  • SaaS, IT, database, or computer hardware/software product experience
  • Experience working in and with Agile/SCRUM development environments


  • Bachelor’s Degree required. A degree in a technical/data-related field or MBA desired
