Technical Program Manager
As our first Technical Program Manager at Clearbit, you’ll join a growing engineering team to help us drive our most important product and engineering initiatives to completion. You’ll work directly with our VP of Engineering to shape, define and build out Clearbit’s program management practice. You’ll run our engineering planning process, track project milestones, and communicate status to cross-functional stakeholders. You’ll collaborate closely with engineering managers and product managers to ensure our initiatives are successful and that we are aligning our work to overall business goals.

Who We Are
At Clearbit, we help our customers build unstoppable growth engines. Our products enable businesses to understand their customers, generate demand, act on intent, and increase conversions all the way down the funnel. Today, Clearbit powers more than 1,500 B2B companies including Asana, Segment, and Atlassian. It's an exciting time to join Clearbit. We're a rapidly growing SaaS company, full of can-do people who care about craft, collaboration, and our customers.

What you'll do:

  • Drive our team to complete our highest priority projects and initiatives, and ensure that those priorities are communicated across product development teams.
  • Spearhead and facilitate our engineering planning/roadmap process, including collaborating with our engineering management, product management, and design teams to plan, estimate, and resource projects.
  • Track and monitor operational engineering KPIs and higher level milestones for providing regular status updates to internal stakeholders across the organization.
  • Coordinate internal teams, helping work through ambiguity so project teams have a clear understanding of what needs to be done and on what timeline.
  • Partner with teams cross-functionally — marketing, sales, success, and finance — to ensure information is flowing to the right teams at the right time, and gaps are identified and addressed as initiatives go from idea to release.
  • Triage engineering requests and interrupts to ensure they’re vetted, prioritized, and sequenced (if the interrupt is intentional and necessary).
  • Work with engineering managers, product managers, and the product development teams to ensure the successful delivery of our roadmap.

You might be a fit if you have:

  • Prior experience in technical program management, software engineering, product management (for a highly technical product)
  • Highly accurate estimation (underpromise and overdeliver!)
  • Flexibility and pragmatism to work within our current system, when necessary
  • Creativity to recommend how to improve our processes as we scale
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication
