Who you are:
We are always looking for amazing talent who can contribute to our growth and deliver results! Geotab is seeking a Dynamics Developer who will develop customized solutions within the Microsoft Dynamics platform to support critical business functions and meet project objectives, client/reseller requirements and company goals. This position focuses on working in a small technical team to contribute to projects, implementations and system customization.  If you love technology, and are keen to join an industry leader — we would love to hear from you!
What you’ll do:
As a Dynamics Developer your key area of responsibility will be to design and code additions and updates to the current system received from multiple business units. You will also perform debugging and testing of all code and assist with any issues related to production or development environments. You will need to work closely with Geotab's internal business systems team.
To be successful in this role you will be a self-starter who is highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. In addition, the successful candidate will have the ability to respond to fast changing priorities and deadlines, while maintaining attention to detail. 

How you’ll make an impact:

  • Design and code additions and updates to the current system received from multiple business units.
  • Create and modify Dynamics reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
  • Perform debugging and testing of all code and assist with any issues related to production or development environments.
  • Create and maintain requirements and technical specification documentation.
  • Develop in MS Dynamics using X++, SSRS, .NET and C# development languages.
  • Maintain familiarity with other Object Oriented languages, C#, VB.Net, Java, and the .Net Framework.
  • Manage each customization within implementation timelines.
  • Resolve problems, identify causes, and anticipate implications.
  • Configure the system to implement a new functionality, as per the requirements.
  • Maintain the system from an administrator’s perspective.

What you’ll bring to this role:

  • 3-5 years experience with Dynamics AX 2012 R3, R2 or AX 2009. 
  • 1-3 years experience with D365 F&O.
  • Post-Secondary Degree/Diploma specialization in Information Systems, Operations Management, Finance/Accounting or Computer Science or related field.
  • Professional Certifications for D365 Finance & Operations such as MB-300, MB-310, MB-320, Apps Developer Associate, are highly valued
  • Experience with a software product development environment working in all phases of the software development lifecycle including: design and planning, development, unit testing, QA testing, installation,  deployment, and support.
  • Experience in D365 Basic modules - Finance, Operations and SysAdmin (Finance - AP, AR, GL, FA, Cash and Bank Management) (Operations - Procurement and Sourcing, Production Control, Warehousing, Trade and Logistics).
  • Knowledge of .NET (C# and/or VB.NET, XML, web services, etc.) with  C++, Java, or other object oriented language and SQL Server.
  • Knowledge of Rest API, Custom Service Framework, Data Entities, Data Management Framework (DIXF), Recurring Integration, Data Management API, BYOD, Power BI, SSRS Reporting (RDP), Electronic Reporting.
  • Experience with TnE highly valued.
  • High accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Able to work well under pressure and respond to fast changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Must stay relevant to technology and should have the flexibility to adapt to the growing technology and market demands.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A strong team-player with the ability to engage with all levels of the organization.
  • Technical competence using software programs, including, but not limited to, Google Suite for business (Sheets, Docs, Slides).
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and comfortable in a flat organization.
