Role OverviewOn Deck Program Directors (“PDs”) are the face of individual fellowship programs within On Deck. An On Deck PD spearheads and iterates the end-to-end product experience across areas such as curriculum and program design, applications, Fellow experience, and program execution.
You'll launch a new vertical called On Deck People Ops which will help people ops professionals level up in their careers.
The ideal candidate for this role has strong recruiter expertise, is equal parts visionary and executor, and can foster an engaging community.

What you will do:

  • Develop and implement a Fellowship Vision that is designed to help fellows achieve strong career outcomes.
  • Set and own ambitious growth targets while maintaining a high bar for fellow quality, intimate program experience, and fellow satisfaction
  • Manage stakeholders to source, recruit, and serve fellows over lifetime of program.
  • Track program performance and iterate to surpass program goals.
  • Build an engaged and psychologically safe community where each Fellow's journey is supported.
  • Manage program team and support development of direct and indirect reports
  • Ultimately, ensure Fellows have an amazing experience and build lasting connections, unlike any other community they've ever been part of before.

Who you are:

  • People Ops expertise in tech and startups. 5+ years of experience in people ops and track record of community building or education.
  • Customer-centric focus with experience in customer-facing roles such as community building, sales, training, and customer success.
  • Management experience in environments that are fast-paced and require a willingness to build from 0-1.
  • Vision and creativity to take something from 1-x.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, charisma, and enjoys building new relationships.

CompensationThis role comes with a competitive salary, stock options, unlimited PTO, and employee benefits, including generous healthcare.
LocationOur team works remotely, and we are excited about candidates globally.  Please note that our team works on GMT-7 PST-friendly hours, so your location will affect your work hours, which may be difficult from Europe or Asia. Start DateYou would start as soon as possible.
