The Role
We are looking for a Senior Investigator, Corporate Security who will create a safe environment for employees to work in, and will assist in the prevention, detection, response and reporting on allegations of any internal misconduct.
We envision this role to assist in the creation of standards for Investigations, Physical Security, and i3 (Intelligence, Insider, and Insights), in collaboration with cross functional stakeholders; senior management, legal and compliance, people operations, and finance.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Conduct investigations of varying complexity issues with integrity and confidentiality
  • Make ethical decisions during all investigations
  • Ensure transparent reporting
  • Create and educate staff on best practices, lead and be an example in doing the right thing,
  • Support staff who are reporting suspicious activity

Key deliverables: Formalize prevention strategies

  • If required, work directly with third party vendors; external contractors; law enforcement and Finance agencies to proactively develop strategies to mitigate risk.
  • Prepare and deliver reports that accurately reflect investigative findings, identify policy, procedural and control gaps and include recommendations to the appropriate business line that are clearly identified to ensure there is no continuance or reoccurrence and the overall risk is mitigated.

Key deliverables: Detection of misconduct

  • Assist business lines in the development of a program for all staff on how to recognize misconduct (which would include internal fraud, embezzlement and data privacy/security violations) and ensure their compliance with effective escalation in a timely manner.
  • Cultivate and manage the development of intelligence sources

Key deliverables: Investigation of incidents

  • In an investigation, work with your team to respond to incidents by assessing risk, ensuring case progression is aligned with the action plan
  • Provide the stakeholders and business line with clear, concise and timely reporting
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of reporting standards in collaboration with Legal
  • Be comfortable to act as the liaison with law enforcement if required. This includes, establishing and maintaining quality control in the gathering, preparation and presentation of evidence (criminal, regulatory and civil).
  • Comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
