Stronger is an affiliate-driven healthcare transformation office designed by, for, and with affiliate leadership across the country. We are focused on strengthening affiliates in ways that are truly transformational, facilitating the innovation needed to build the Planned Parenthood of the future. 
Stronger affiliates have identified a need to jointly undertake critical services and best practices, leveraging economies of scale to drive quality, sustainability, and efficiency.  Stronger seeks a Healthcare Transformation Lead to direct the execution and project management of our portfolio of affiliate shared services. Specifically, this role’s primary functions are to: 
-Lead the design and implementation of initiative projects. Current priority projects include: Data Warehousing & Analytics, Centralized Training for Health Center Managers, and Shared DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) Support. -Strategically research evidence-based practices, promising practices, and new innovative solutions to address high priority affiliate needs. -Plan, manage, and execute meetings of varying sizes to convey complex information, work through challenging topics, and facilitate stakeholder alignment. -Identify, manage, and execute contracts with external vendors and consultants. 
We are seeking an innovative and creative thinker with project and change management experience who is able to effectively execute a variety of projects, strategically address complex problems, and engage with a diverse array of stakeholders. This position is expected to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion as core values of PPFA and work with others in a culturally informed way. This role may supervise others.
This role will be situated within the Stronger Change Office (SCO) and will report to the SCO Director. This is a dynamic, project-based role that will evolve based on the needs and priorities collectively identified by Stronger affiliates.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the design, development, and implementation of high-priority projects, with a focus on embedding a diversity, equity, and inclusion lens:
  • Coordinate with the SCO, PPFA National Office, and affiliates to identify priorities, appropriately scope supports, and troubleshoot issues related to initiative projects.
  • Manage complex project activities including the day-to-day operational and tactical work. 
  • Identify and mitigate risks that can potentially impact the project, escalating risks appropriately and defining best practices for proactively managing them in the future. 
  • Manage the entire project lifecycle from project inception to implementation and ongoing maintenance. 
  • Effectively manage deliverables, set priorities and delegate tasks, as well as both work independently and as a collaborative team member, to meet both internal goals and affiliate deliverables.
  • Support SCO team in preparing progress reports and updates for communications to Stronger and PPFA stakeholders.
  • Provide subject matter expertise, analytic interpretation, and development of Shared Services program offerings to build capabilities for affiliates and the Stronger Change Office. 
  • Proactively monitor, identify and raise trends and best practices from the broader healthcare industry to the SCO and affiliate working groups for incorporation, as appropriate.
  • Lead affiliate engagement and cross-functional working groups including affiliate staff, National Office teams, and external vendors/consultants.
  • Manage affiliate relationships with a balanced and multi-faceted approach, to include: superior customer service, relationship building, accurate application of scope of work tasks, negotiation of timelines, and the production of high-quality, timely work products.
  • Communicate with affiliates, Stronger Change Office colleagues, and National Office staff professionally and effectively and consistently employ a solutions-oriented, inclusive, communicative, and collaborative mentality.
  • Execute vendor/consultant engagements, ensuring effective contract management and performance to service targets.
  • Research and source suitable vendors and seek quotes via request for proposal (RFP) process.
  • Manage tactical and strategic relationships with vendors/consultants.

Requirements and Techincal Expertise

  • Minimum 3 years healthcare experience.
  • Knowledge of the current healthcare landscape, including understanding of the fundamentals of data informatics.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. Master’s degree in public health (MPH), healthcare administration (MHA), business (MBA), or related field preferred. 
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in project management (e.g. strategy consulting, product management). PMP certification preferred. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint required. Proficiency with Salesforce, Asana, SurveyMonkey preferred. 

Travel

  • Stronger is open to a telecommuter candidate for this position. The Healthcare Transformation Lead will be expected to spend ~25% of time traveling to meet with Stronger affiliates and other key stakeholders.  Please note: All travel will be postponed until further notice given the COVID-19 pandemic.

Final offers for this job will be based on capabilities and will be made within the parameters of the PPFA compensation program.
