Your Role

We are looking for an energetic, passionate Business Analyst to join our team.

You will work in close collaboration with the Product Manager. While the PM is driving the team’s direction and high-level requirements, the BA’s will together with the team, deep-dive into these requirements and provide options on ways to progress for the product evolution. Once the requirements are defined, you’ll refine the backlog in preparation for development.

You will be reporting to the Product Manager.

Your Responsibilities

  • Breaking down high-level requirements following initial request from Product Manager​.
  • Leading the requirement gathering and breakdown during the project kick-off meetings with all key stakeholders​.
  • Gathering additional requirements from key stakeholders such as functional specification creation, process mapping, data analysis, and co-ordination of user testing etc. where applicable.​
  • Refining requirements with key stakeholders, on the back of kick-off sessions​.
  • Analysing, specifying and validating business requirements translating these into clear functional and non-functional business requirements using standard templates and tools.
  • Presenting recommendations to Senior Management/Directors and giving feedback where necessary to the Senior Managers/Directors.
  • Contributing towards team’s strategic direction, presenting ideas and participating in research and requirements gathering.
  • Creating all relevant tickets and tasks for each project​.
  • Updating tasks throughout the project, supporting the delivery and ongoing evolution of the project.
  • Evaluating the impact of Issues/bugs and reporting back to Product Manager​.
  • Maintaining in-depth product and end-to-end journey knowledge to assist in the creation of highly precise requirement documentation.
  • Acquiring, documenting and maintaining an in-depth knowledge of existing business processes and identifying areas for potential process improvement.
  • Documenting existing processes and designing new business processes using standard process modelling techniques. Identifying gaps and opportunities for change, and assessing business impact.
  • Identifying and validating user acceptance criteria, working from business requirements, solution designs and test strategies.
  • Assisting in the enforcement of project deadlines and schedules.

Requirements

Required skills, competencies and experience

  • 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst
  • Excellent verbal, written and visual (diagrammatic) communication skills.
  • Practical knowledge of agile methodologies.
  • Good working knowledge of the SDLC process
  • Excellent knowledge of best practice business analysis tools and techniques utilizing an array of techniques, such as workshops, to gather and elicit requirements.
  • Used to a fast paced and dynamic working environment.
  • Has the ability to understand and interpret business information.
  • Has an enthusiastic approach to moving the business forward.
  • Able to drive creative thinking, beyond the boundaries of current knowledge base.
  • Confident working with a range of stakeholders, from business users to senior executives
  • Commercial awareness
  • An understanding and significant experience of working within a financial technology services operation and a regulated environment
  • An obsession with detail to enable production of world-class requirement packs
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Stakeholder Management skills - with the ability to build solid relationships, influence and network well.

It would be great to also have

  • Recognized business analysis qualification e.g. BCS/IIBA
  • Experience of delivering medium/large complex projects
  • Experience in project management
