We are a growing software engineering team, with front end, back end engineers, QA test engineers, data scientists, architects and data engineers, building a complex cloud-based event driven system that handles billions of events a day. As a QA Automation Engineering Manager, leading this team, you will be working with a variety of engineers, product managers and scrum masters to help with the entire QA process, testing tools and personnel. The successful candidate will be highly customer focused, obsessed with quality, with a proven record of working effectively across functional organizations. Strong hands on manager with good technical experience and the ability to drive against a high level test strategy and automation based on a data driven quality approach. The manager will be a strong quality advocate with a good planning and optimization mindset.
In this role you will:Will work with a team of test engineers to ensure the highest quality product delivery and define measurable metrics to gauge progress against objective QA goals.Interface between design, engineering, and product as well as the general QA support.Provide direction and training of personnel to ensure awareness of quality procedures and specific responsibilities needed.Coordinate and audit quality issues between the design, engineering, and product.Work with business and development teams to understand product vision and requirements.Set and drive expectations around quality for major releases grounded in solid customer impact and product understanding.Understand how all elements of the system software ecosystem work together and develop test driven QA approach with automation that fit the overall strategy.Be responsible for development of test strategies and creation of appropriate automation test harnesses.Participate in the development and execution of test plans and monitor and report on test execution.Work with a team of quality engineering professionals , SDETs to ensure the highest quality product delivery.


  • 5+ years of experience in QA Automation for Event Driven systems
  • 2+ years of experience working as a Quality Assurance Manager
  • Experience with creating large testing datasets
  • Experience in automation testing - both front end,  back end, functional, end to end and performance testing
  • Experience with CodeCeptJS or equivalent (Selenium), JUnit, TestNG
  • Strong communication skills - both written and oral.
  • Comfortable communicating cross-functionally and across management levels in formal and informal settings.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to track multiple test executions simultaneously and to be able to synthesize the results.
  • People management skills with a proven ability to hire and grow talented programmatic and user-level personnel.
  • Experience working closely with development and business teams to communicate problem impacts
  • Understands the agile development methodologies with continuous integration, developing automation and test driven development with 5+ yrs of experience in test automation.
  • Experience validating high quality consumer facing applications on embedded communications platforms
  • Shows creativity and initiative to improve product test coverage and effectiveness
