Leads a team or multiple teams of technical resources to deliver high value services for Rackspace customers for integration and continued support. This role will be responsible for managing teams to support execution of professional services agreements. Works with professional services leadership to allocate work in a manner that drives profitability and contract delivery in a timely manner. ·         Technical/Microsoft 365 Products – Provide technical leadership for design and delivery of solutions using Microsoft 365 Products.  Keep abreast of latest developments on the platform and drive the adoption of the platform products to maximize the ROI for the platform.  Ensure effective architectural and related technical documentation is developed and maintained to ensure on-going support for the solutions provided. Take ownership on solutions for planning migrations to the Public Cloud, on the architecture, design, and deployment; all while improving the security and reliability for your Microsoft 365 Products.·         Manage - Exercise overall day-to-day leadership of the engineers and resources of the team while balancing the priorities imposed by both the technical and business drivers and aligning work with the skills and capabilities of the team;  this often includes a matrixed management of project managers and other Rackspace personnel in addition to direct reports to complete tasks as necessary; Provide oversight to scope of work, level of effort, timing estimate provided by staff, and ensure they are reasonable according to normal industry practice.  ·         Supervise – Direct leadership of team members including conducting performance reviews, encouraging personal development initiatives, ensuring alignment to culture and policies, and providing recognition and/or disciplinary actions as appropriate. ·         Staffing – Ensure the team is fully staffed both for full time employees as well as contract personnel as needed to complete the required scope of work in alignment with the available budget and schedules.  ·         Budget - Responsible for Rackspace budget related to the Microsoft 365 apps. This includes leading the development of the budget, participation in the exercise and ensuring spending aligns to the approved budget and follows Rackspace Professional Services Policies. ·         Motivate - Build a high-performing and responsible team focused on goals and needed outcomes, understanding the drivers for the program, and working well with each other as an integrated team; develop cross-trained and skilled personnel to both improve our technical and consulting abilities and challenge individuals to grow. ·         Mediate - Interact regularly and comfortably within Rackspace and with business partners to inform, alert, negotiate and maintain a continuing good relationship and shared vision for the Microsoft 365 Platform. ·         Plan – Responsible for planning both tactical and strategic initiatives using the available tools and standards and for directing the development and maintenance of all plans within the team that define work, results, roles, usage of staff and funding in an optimized manner, and for actual execution in conformance to plans and the continuing update and adjustment of plans and execution to fit changing circumstances.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop and oversee implementation of effective services delivery strategies and solutions, cross-functional team engagement, and staff management.
  • Recruit, hire, train, develop, motivate, and coach the Professional Services team.
  • Develop strong, positive relationships with the Rackspace Sales, Marketing, Channel, Service Delivery and Operations Teams.
  • Establish and implement performance measurements designed to track and report progress against the professional services strategy.
  • Develop industry best practices, methodology, and consulting capabilities into a mature, enterprise-class service delivery model.
  • Facilitate application of lessons learned and best practices across engagements to minimize risk and maximize value to the customer.
  • Work with operational staff as it relates to initiatives that affect the Professional Services Teams.
  • Interface with internal teams by working with new product initiatives to ensure completeness and relevance to customer requirements.
  • Responsible for adhering to company security policies and procedure as directed. 

Knowledge :

  • Strong knowledge of Rackspace values, objectives and strategies.
  • Excellent organizational, solution engineering, business consulting, and decision making skills.
  • Excellent communication skills; written, verbal and presentation skills with the ability to influence others and drive consensus in groups.

Experience :

  • Requires 7 - 9 years of progressively responsible solutions engineering, professional services delivery, consulting, and systems engineering experience, including a minimum of 2 years in a people management function 

Education :

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required

Physical Demands :

  • General office environment.
  • May require long periods sitting and viewing a computer monitor.
  • Moderate levels of stress may occur at times.
  • No special physical demands required.
  • Domestic and International travel, 25- 50%.
