We are looking for an experienced Lead/Senior Engineer to join our team! You will be working with one of our customer-facing products, and will be a trusted partner, managing and developing back-end and front-end software, systems, and API's in an agile environment to integrate with a growing set of practice management software solutions.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for collaboration and communication with various team members
  • Work closely with product owner and scrum master to bring visibility to development progress
  • Actively participate in organizing development strategy, scrum, standups, sprint planning by providing guidance and technical tasks
  • Collaborate with development teams and enforcing best practices for development lifecycle
  • Contribute to product design decisions in regards to feasible dev work within deadlines
  • Deliver products consistently, on time and on budget
  • Review all work produced by development team
  • Ensure code produced meets company standards
  • Participate regularly in development assignments as duties allow for
  • Support staff by maintaining a safe and secure work environment, where opinions can be shared and heard; developing personal growth opportunities
  • Accomplish development team results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, and counseling developers and product team members; developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards
  • Passionate about building an inclusive engineering culture, with teams that are both eager to learn and deeply curious

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Demonstrate solid working knowledge of any mainstream object-oriented programming language, ideally Typescript/Javascript.
  • Have a deep understanding of back end/server/api development, including application and database/data development. CI/CD processes and architectures
  • Demonstrate solid working knowledge of any mainstream front end technologies ideally Javascript, TypeScript, React,& CSS.
  • Have a deep understanding of front end and back end development and architectures
  • Possess broad applicable knowledge of data/database technologies including traditional RDBMS's (SQL Server), NoSql (DynamoDb, MongoDB), Search (ElastiSearch/OpenSearch), Analytics/Warehousing (Redshift, EMR), Streaming (Kinesis), etc.
  • Display working knowledge of the SQL language and/or SQL-based relational database system(s) (i.e. MySql, SQL Server, Oracle, etc.)
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Information Technology field
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in management
  • Exceptional communication and reporting skills
  • Outstanding leaderships skills and ability to delegate responsibilities effectively
