In this role, you will:

  • Facilitate onboarding and ongoing learning sessions for our Portfolio Management and Wealthsimple Work teams including training on sales techniques, systems, and investment portfolios.
  • Build out a comprehensive curriculum of training programs to support skills development and drive results from junior team members to the more tenured ones.
  • Design, create and organize training modules from initial onboarding onwards using various mediums, including live sessions, online learning, roleplaying, and workshops.
  • Prepare talking points, use cases and/or training sessions to support these teams with product launches and updates from across the org.
  • Establish a coaching program and feedback loop with Management to identify educational opportunities and areas for improvement.
  • Measure the impact of the training programs with insights for Management as well as finding opportunities to continuously iterate on the training programs.
  • Work cross-functionally with Client Success to build training programs to support Client Experience Associates as well as Portfolio Managers. 

What the ideal candidate looks like:

  • You have experience building a comprehensive Sales training curriculum and a strong understanding of sales techniques with a proven track record of driving results through your training and coaching.
  • You can effectively work with subject matter experts to consolidate and refine existing information and break down complex concepts into digestible content.
  • You can build strong relationships with cross-functional stakeholders and have experience getting buy-in from senior leadership on your training approach and methodology.
  • You approach training from the learner’s perspective with an understanding of various learning styles. The training content that you create is engaging and effective across the various mediums.
  • You take full responsibility for completing high-quality work on time.
  • You are confident presenting and have exceptional communication skills. You know how to keep individuals engaged either in a classroom or remotely.
  • You have a willingness to be flexible and embrace the unknown: You understand that working in a startup environment can be challenging and that the parameters of this role and its expectations may be in a state of flux. 

What we're looking for:

  • Extensive experience in a Sales training or enablement role, preferably in a B2B SaaS organization
  • Proven ability to educate, coach, and motivate peers
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to develop strong cross-functional relationships across the organization
  • Confident navigating ambiguous environments and takes ownership over any problems encountered
  • Acute attention to detail and you sweat the small stuff

Nice-to-haves (but not necessary)

  • Previous experience using a learning management system (LMS) e.g. Lessonly, SAP Litmos, Absorb
  • Knowledge of Salesforce
  • Bilingual with a fluency in French and English
  • Previous experience in a financial institution or technology startup
  • Bonus points if you are already a Wealthsimple client!
