Sales Manager


Wonolo (Work Now Locally) is disrupting the $140BN temporary staffing industry. Founded in 2014, Wonolo's mission is to help people find consistent work. Through our two-sided tech marketplace, we connect hundreds of businesses in need of front-line workers with 1 million underemployed workers in local markets across the United States, within minutes. We are looking for a Sales Manager to help build, promote, and refine our net new customer acquisition strategy within our frontline sales team. This position will play an integral part in sharing the innovative and disruptive Wonolo story with our prospective customer base.
This is a unique opportunity to develop an already thriving sales team, build internal processes and playbooks for future scale, and work closely with the Director of Sales to co-author our go-to-market acquisition strategy.
This role is designed for someone that possesses both a customer and team-centric mentality, and who is looking to be both a leader and executor in a competitive environment.

What you'll do:

  • Manage the inside sales activities of your direct reports consisting of ~5 Mid-Market Account Executives.
  • Mentor, coach, and grow your team of AEs for continuous skill development and knowledge enhancement.
  • Forecast and report your team’s pipeline to ensure targets are consistently achieved.
  • Run effective 1:1s with team members for issue diagnosis, individualized feedback, and go forward application.
  • Recruit, interview, and onboard new sales members to help streamline the hire to ramp period.
  • Attend various sales calls and/or listen to call recordings to best understand customer, market, and competitor intelligence.
  • Work with cross-functional team members namely marketing, customer success, revenue operations, and product to help shape our entire revenue strategy. 
  • Help build and refine our sales methodologies, value proposition(s), outbound motion, and discovery framework. 

Who you are:

  • 5-8 years of full-cycle sales experience preferably within a strategic/consultative environment
  • 2-3 years of leadership experience leading inside sales teams
  • Carries a prior track record of exceeding team quota targets.
  • Growth mindset.  You prioritize both your own team’s development as well as self-development.
  • A motivational leader that can help drive individual and team aspirations.
  • Problem solver. You are someone who can diagnose problems and prescribe solutions around processes, customers, and direct reports.
  • An excellent communicator that can clearly articulate your thoughts and findings across various teams and functions.
  • You demonstrate a substantial commitment to advancing representation and inclusion
