What We're Looking For in a Demand Gen Content Strategist:

  • Drive content strategy for Demand Generation: Write, edit, manage the creation of copy – emails, webinar promotion, event promotion (digital/in-person), sales enablement, etc.
  • Manage the development, execution, and optimization of email nurture strategies by creating audience-specific messaging, leveraging existing content, and creating campaigns for new content. Map nurture journeys for various use cases and personas.
  • Co-manage the design and implementation of a wide-range of email campaign strategies (one-time, recurring, triggered, and dynamic content campaigns) including content creation, list management, and segmentation strategies.
  • Analyze email performance – performance metrics tracking, testing, execution, and refinement.
  • Optimize emails for deliverability, mobile rendering, open rates, etc. to increase leads on a month over month/year over year basis. Test email elements (subject lines, messaging, images, frequency, segments, etc) for improved performance.
  • Create/manage creation of email copy for sales communications and enablement around marketing campaigns, events, new pieces of content, etc.
  • Research and track behaviors and trends of key personas, developing actionable insights.
  • Identify KPIs and standardize weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting to interpret and improve email engagement.
  • Research and implement email marketing best practices on a continuous basis.

How The Web Content Strategist Will Be Measured:

  • You set a clear direction of the Demand Generation content strategy to support the user experience and customer journey
  • You get granular on the details, but can also step back to see the big picture. 
  • You are data-driven, using both quantitative and qualitative data in a hypothesis-driven feedback loop.
  • You have a strong visual sense with a good understanding of SEO best practices.
  • You have a passion for delivering useful, engaging, and sticky content.
  • You work closely and cross-functionally with stakeholders to produce compelling web content
  • You maintain enthusiasm for metrics that gauge web content performance and lifecycle measurement
  • You have above-average tenacity, strong work ethic, and desire to constantly improve and share insights

Qualities We're Looking For:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience
  • Experience with Google Analytics reporting and analysis, Marketo (certification), Salesforce, Bizable
  • 5+ years in a content strategy role, in either an agency or in-house creative/marketing team
  • Solid understanding of creative workflows, and experience producing complex web content
  • Prior experience with B2B technology, preferably in the database/analytics space
  • Clear and effective communication and presentation skills
  • Experience working cross functionally with stakeholders in other departments to deliver results
  • Deep organizational skills and laser-like attention to detail
  • The ability to look beyond what's working now, and push for continual creativity and innovation
  • A growth mindset ready to take on the challenges of a rapidly expanding company
  • Open to feedback and critical analysis of work, while participating in and positively influencing critique culture
  • Master of soft skills like empathy, curiosity, and communication while creating an amazing user experience
