Purpose is to enable the Rackspace Sales teams to effectively and efficiently win more opportunities based on Microsoft GTM investment opportunities, incentives and accelerators. Stakeholder scope will involve regular interface and communication between Microsoft Groups, Rackspace Sales, Solutions, Procurement and the combined Alliance Team. As well, a need to ensure we bring to bear all cost-saving incentives to win more business, transform our clients and position Rackspace as a competitive force within the Partner eco-system.  An example of such Programs, including but not limited to:  Partner Investment Engine (PIE), End Customer Incentive Funding (ECIF), Azure Migration Program (AMP), Accelerated Growth Investment (AGI), Sky’s the Limit Modern Workplace Play, and others as they are released

Key Responsibilities

As well, a need to ensure we bring to bear all cost-saving incentives to win more business, transform our clients and position Rackspace as a competitive force within the Partner eco-system. An example of such Programs, including but not limited to: Partner Investment Engine (PIE), End Customer Incentive Funding (ECIF), Azure Migration Program (AMP), Accelerated Growth Investment (AGI), Sky’s the Limit Modern Workplace Play, and others as they are released.
  •  In addition, Special Programs will be another core function of this role. It will include engaging with the respective Rackspace and Microsoft teams in the inception, identification, and execution of other incentive programs.
  • SOW contribution, developing solutions and working with Sale to effectively leverage Microsoft funding will be part of weekly activities.  In addition, support of the Microsoft Alliance PSM and PDM for programs that help to drive improved alignment and increased sales for Rackspace. Special Programs could include SPLA transition program, Private & Public Cloud migrations, Training, Certification & Compentcy tracking and other requirements for Rackspace Sales and/or Solution teams, etc.
  • Individual will also be responsible for improving Microsoft alignment and partnership to drive improved coordination with our sales, solutions, and marketing teams. Attention to activities needed to leverage all applicable co-sell incentive opportunities to ensure our customer quotes are competitive, as well and gaining appropriate margins where possible. 
  •  This position will be central and pivotal to driving change and activating a proactive, purposeful, and predictable Go-to-Market Microsoft Incentives Program and grow Rackspace Customer “wins” through our most strategic partnerships. 

Qualifications

  •  Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Technology, or related field; or equivalent combination of education & experience.
  •  A minimum of 8+ years of progressive professional sales experience.
  •  In depth knowledge of Microsoft sales and partnership ecosystem, including knowledge of partner programs, GTM, etc.
  •  Sales accreditation or certification in Alliance platform strongly preferred.
  •  A track record of success in all facets of sales, lead generation, follow up, pipeline management, and closing. 
  •  Strong organizational skills with documented success in maintaining revenue generating business relationships in a Partner Network Program. 
  •  A passion for customer service with a contagious enthusiasm and energy 
  •  Solid understanding of the sales and marketing processes, procedures and systems used to accomplish the work.
  •  Knowledge and application of go-to-market strategy with external partners.
  •  Ability to negotiate and build strong business partnerships both outside and within the organization.
  •  Understand partner company strategy and trajectory and is able to clearly articulate Rackspace strategy to partner
