About the PositionThis position will oversee product data analytics and storytelling used for marketing content and programs and assist with survey-driven marketing data analytics and storytelling projects. The role will coordinate closely with the company’s Cloud Infrastructure Data Analytics team that is responsible for the architecture and ongoing management of the data warehouse/data lake and BI visualization to craft stories around in-product data. The role will provide supplemental support to various other departments, including but not limited to, Customer Success, Engineering, Sales, and PR/Communications.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Cloud Infrastructure Data Analytics team to deliver near real-time analytics insights 
  • Partner with the Cloud Infrastructure Data Analytics team, Sales, Marketing, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to select and implement a self-service data visualization tool (which will sit on top of the data warehouse/data lake)
  • Design and implement a self-service BI visualization tool used to analyze and model data for use across various cross-functional teams
  • Train Contrast employees on self-service BI visualization platform—both with its initial launch and then ongoing
  • Oversee data analytics and modeling needed to generate Contrast Labs bimonthly and annual reports tied to Contrast platform data (TeamServer)
  • Participate as a data subject-matter expert in Contrast webinars and podcasts
  • Continuously innovate and evolve data analytics and storytelling programs 
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in roles of increasing responsibility managing data analytics with storytelling as a critical function
  • BA/BS degree in math, statistics, economics, computer science, data science, or related quantitative field
  • 2+ years of experience working with marketing analytics and storytelling
  • Experience with SQL and relational databases
  • Experience working with BI visualization platform—preferably Domo 
  • Experience with one programming language—preferably Python
  • Expert knowledge of project management and working cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Engineering, and Customer SuccessExpert knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel 
  • Outstanding problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills 
  • Ability to work and navigate across organizations functions to achieve positive outcomes for all parties involved
