Job Profile SummaryProvide leadership on business transformation programs from initiation through delivery. Manages cross-functional projects to drive improvement in-process metrics, targeted financial benefits, and achieve company goals. Partners with company executives, as well as external consultants, to support strategic initiatives, direct change management processes, and communicate on a global scale.
LocationPlease note that this role is currently 100% remote through 2021, due to the pandemic. However, there is an option for this role to be remote or US office-based, based on the company policy and candidate fit.

Responsibilities

  • Manage company-wide projects or programs from initiation through delivery driving completion against set goals, objectives, and outcomes.
  • Gather required data from end users to evaluate objectives, goals, and scope to define deliverables.
  • Ensure that all targets and requirements are met and are completed on schedule and within budget.
  • Work closely with various internal departments to ensure successful completion of projects.
  • Keep leadership informed of key issues that may impact project completion, budget, or other results.
  • Contribute to planning for the department and business unit. Resolves highly critical and visible issues and leads program development. Establishes program goals and objectives ensuring alignment with the Rackspace strategic plan.
  • Develop, modify and execute best practices and programs that have a company-wide effect.
  • Manage cross-functional projects to drive improvement in-process metrics, targeted financial benefits, and achieve company goals. Recognized as an expert within Rackspace.
  • Proactively identify and participate in the resolution of the most complex problems and vital work that impacts the direction of the business.
  • Develop and delivers innovative strategies that benefit customers and/or clients.
  • Lead major business projects which impact a region or entire function.
  • Contribute to the development of annual organizational objectives/priorities.
  • Decision impact the direction of and resource allocation for unit operations and could impact overall business activities.
  • Identify and resolve unique situations of substantial significance in the field of expertise or knowledge.
  • Apply ingenuity and creativity to problem analysis and resolution in complicated and/or novel situations.
  • Use independent judgment to determine methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field.
  • An MBA is preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience in program management or project management.
  • 7+ years working on projects at a company impacting level.
