Geotab is seeking a Senior Product Marketing Manager, Small Business who will contribute to the success of Geotab by owning the overall business and customer requirements related to a new line of business in Small Business solutions for different channels globally. What you’ll do:
As a Senior Product Marketing Manager, Small Business your role encompasses the full end-to-end value chain from strategy development to customer delivery with an emphasis on customer experience throughout the journey. Your key area of responsibility will be managing go-to-market across cross-functional teams and key stakeholders for the overall execution of this fast growing segment for the organization. You will need to work closely with Geotab’s Product, Sales, Marketing and Customer Support teams. To be successful in this role you will be a self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills. In addition, the successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in introducing new trends and best practices in digital and retail customer experiences. You have strong project management skills; able to identify needs, develop effective solutions and manage projects through to completion.

How you’ll make an impact:

  • Develop and drive the go-to-market for the Small Business segment from inception to launch and beyond, measuring success through top line and bottom line revenue impact and subscription growth.
  • Drive GTM activities for the portfolio and ensure that all key launch components are aligned to the defined criteria and work to remove any roadblocks internally to meet the targeted launch date.
  • Develop effective strategies and tactics to promote Geotab and its products and services in the Small Business space across multiple channels globally
  • Aligned to this portfolio, work in partnership with the Product team to develop the product roadmap.
  • Develop and define the engagement with the overall ecosystem including Sales and Partners translating to seamless multi-channel execution
  • Understand the core characteristics of Small Businesses globally through market analysis, voice of customer, and voice of partner to understand their challenges and develop alignment with Product between our overall solutions and their requirements. 
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of target customer profiles and prospect requirements and represent the voice of the customer within Geotab at cross-functional team meetings.
  • Develop the overall journey for Small Business customers within the Geotab environment in partnership with key stakeholders such as Product, Sales, Marketing and Customer Support.
  • Develop value-based positioning and messaging that will assist internal teams in producing marketing content and programs across channels and partners.
  • Work with other Marketing functions to define and manage customer lifecycle and customer experience based on comprehensive understanding of key market factors and competitive landscape.
  • Understand the competitive landscape - be an expert on our competition and how they position themselves while also keeping pace on emerging competitors; prepare sales organizations and partners for addressing competitive situations.
  • Monitor trends and changing customer needs to develop action plans for our Small Business Portfolio.
  • Partner on market research projects for your portfolio to better understand the market and gather intelligence to help inform product decisions and messaging.
  • Create and optimize messaging for the Small Business segment suite of products that resonate with prospective customers and our partner channels to drive growth
  • Support, as required, the Product and User Experience teams to develop best-in-class customer experiences spanning across digital and self-serve tools for a seamless customer journey.
  • Develop additional strategies to nurture and manage the overall lifecycle and upsell for the end customer. 
  • Identify key drivers and priorities of strategy by geographic region and plan weighting by growth objectives.
  • Partner with segment market and broader organizational teams to develop a strong command of sales pipeline, revenue targets, product roadmap, and overall impact of marketing strategy, and budgets.
  • Develop and maintain sales and partner collateral and sales tools to support sales efforts in partnership with Sales Enablement 
  • Monitor and own Small Business product line business health (P&L) and recommend product opportunities and contingency plans.
  • Own and drive product post mortems and post-launch assessments, constantly providing feedback to product, support and marketing teams.
  • This position has no managerial responsibilities and direct reports currently. 

What you’ll bring to this role:

  • 7-10 years of Product or Product Marketing experience in developing new lines of business with a particular focus on Small Business customers.
  • 7-10 years experience delivering comprehensive programs across a matrixed organization and multiple regions.
  • Post-Secondary Diploma/Degree specialization in Business, Marketing or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in introducing new trends and best practices in digital and retail customer experiences.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience working within a technical or engineering organization/knowledge of the high-technology industry is an asset.
  • Able to work well under pressure and respond to fast changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong project management skills; able to identify needs, develop effective solutions and manage projects through to completion.
  • A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and relationship management skills.
  • A strong team-player with the ability to engage with all levels of the organization.
  • Technical competence using software programs, including, but not limited to, Google Suite for business (Sheets, Docs, Slides).
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and comfortable in a flat organization.
