What We're Looking For in a Web Content Strategist:

  • Regularly audit neo4j.com for content gaps, inconsistencies, and opportunities to create connected content experiences.
  • Set priorities and proactively drive discovery and planning of web content improvements including updates, page and section additions, and content removal. 
  • Build a web content measurement system to make data-backed decisions and prove overall effectiveness.
  • Partner with the Web Team for quality assurance processes, creation and maintenance of the website.
  • Produce authentic, consistent, and compelling web content that elevates our storytelling, meets specific objectives for target audiences, and generates awareness, interest, and demand for Neo4j.
  • In collaboration with product marketing, develop and deliver strategic, holistic messaging to support key priorities, align on business goals, and improve the customer journey.
  • Test and refine web content based on analytics, user feedback, and other performance data, and adjust the website content experience as the needs of the business change.
  • Collaborate and build trusted relationships; seek out opportunities to connect across the company and look for how to combine, align, and amplify efforts.
  • Work directly with UX architects and designers to establish IA and hierarchy of how customers consume information on the website through navigation and complex messaging.
  • Create resources to empower colleagues to create their own great content, including certain self-service deliverables, to scale the discipline.
  • Have a working knowledge of localization on the web and lead a relationship with a content localization agency.
  • Exercise your knack for distilling complicated topics into language anyone can grasp.

How The Web Content Strategist Will Be Measured:

  • You set a clear direction of the web content strategy to support the user experience and customer journey
  • You get granular on the details, but can also step back to see the big picture. 
  • You are data-driven, using both quantitative and qualitative data in a hypothesis-driven feedback loop.
  • You have a strong visual sense with a good understanding of UX and SEO best practices.
  • You have a passion for delivering useful, engaging, and sticky content.
  • You help develop UX, SEO, and web content strategy
  • You work closely and cross-functionally with stakeholders to produce compelling web content
  • You maintain enthusiasm for web metrics that gauge web content performance and lifecycle measurement
  • You have above-average tenacity, strong work ethic, and desire to constantly improve and share insights

Qualities We're Looking For:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years in a content strategy role, in either an agency or in-house creative/marketing team
  • Solid understanding of creative workflows, and experience producing complex web content
  • Prior experience with B2B technology, preferably in the database/analytics space
  • Clear and effective communication and presentation skills
  • Experience working with product marketing and other stakeholders to deliver results
  • Deep organizational skills and laser-like attention to detail
  • The ability to look beyond what's working now, and push for continual creativity and innovation
  • A growth mindset ready to take on the challenges of a rapidly expanding company
  • Open to feedback and critical analysis of work, while participating in and positively influencing critique culture
  • Master of soft skills like empathy, curiosity, and communication while creating an amazing user experience
