Rackspace is looking for a Senior Recruiter to join our Americas Talent Acquisition team. The role will involve delivering high-quality candidates with a focus on attracting technical talent to Rackspace. This role will involve full life cycle recruiting and maintaining excellent relations with hiring managers, candidates, and the community at large.  A wide degree of creativity, near- and long-term recruiting vision, business understanding, and personal organization is required. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about recruiting top technical talent and has experience in sourcing and attracting candidates who have AWS, Azure, Google, Linux, Windows, Storage, and Virtualization skills to name just a few! 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides an effective and consultative service to all stakeholders
  • Responsible for full life cycle recruitment from sourcing, screening, and selection to negotiation, offer, and close, ensuring an outstanding candidate experience
  • Develops and maintains strong working relationships with stakeholders, vendors, and other team members to create a partnership that yields success, predictable results, and credibility
  • Develops and maintains a network of contacts to help identify and source qualified candidates
  • Leverages online recruiting resources to identify and recruit the very best candidates and participates in the development of ongoing creative and cost-effective sourcing strategies
  • Stays informed of trends and innovative recruiting techniques and lead the way in industry best practices
  • Develops a deep understanding of Rackspace and our culture and use this understanding to provide inspiring information to candidates about Rackspace, our business strategy, and the opportunity
  • Maintains accurate and well-ordered documentation in our recruitment system on all candidates, hiring manager’s interactions, and other recruiting activities
  • Proactively provides data and market insights to stakeholders and business leaders
  • Partners with HR and Talent Development to ensure we have a joined-up approach to talent management

Knowledge/Skills

  • Extensive experience managing full lifecycle recruiting gained within the IT industry
  • Solid background using direct sourcing strategies
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain productive partnerships with Hiring Managers and Leaders
  • The ability to influence key stakeholders with the courage to challenge and set expectations
  • Solution orientated, able to solve complex recruitment problems and challenges
  • Creative approach to recruitment and ways to attract top-quality candidates with the ability to present new recruiting concepts to Stakeholders
  • Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information appropriately
  • A drive for results, able to manage a high-volume workload in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication approaches that include proactively keeping others informed
  • Strong use of initiative, thinks ahead, and can think and act independently
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently provide FANATICAL support and put the customer first
  • Process and data orientated, understands the importance of data within a talent acquisition function

Requirements

  • 7 - 9+ years recruiting, hiring, and/or sourcing experience
  • Bachelor’s degree. Prefer a degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or Communications.
