About the PositionThe Contrast Security team is seeking a PR Manager to join our growing team to develop executive and corporate communications programs to support its business objectives. This position will help drive the strategy and ongoing management of PR/media activities—messaging development, high-level placements in print, broadcast, and online media, award tracking and management, press release writing and pitching, and byline article writing and pitching. Other PR-related duties as assigned. The role will coordinate across various functional groups at Contrast to ensure PR alignment and collaboration. This position will report directly to the Senior PR Manager.


  • Develop media relations strategy and tactics targeting print, broadcast, and online media
  • Develop ongoing proactive pitch angles and conduct outreach
  • Manage media inquiries and interview requests
  • Help manage PR agency of record
  • Create pitches based on product announcements, industry news and trends, and other thought leadership activities
  • Monitor, analyze, and communicate PR results on a quarterly basis
  • Build relationships with key influencers and thought leaders to grow industry awareness and engagement
  • Contribute to corporate blog with ghostwritten posts on PR pitches and campaigns
  • Promote and attend media events and functions; promotes and reports on corporate milestones, reports, product releases and enhancements, and community activities and events
  • Monitor for and build award submissions
  • Other PR related duties as assigned


  • 5-7 years of experience in PR roles of increasing scope and responsibility
  • 3+ years serving as company spokesperson
  • Proven track record designing and executing successful PR programs targeting business and trade press—print, broadcast, and online
  • Experience working directly with senior executives and other leaders
  • Ability to work and navigate across organizations functions to achieve positive outcomes for all parties involved
  • Maintain a keen understanding of industry trends affecting clients and develop pitch strategies and releases based on them
  • Possess analytical mindset that measures and reports all digital content activities in business context
  • Strong relationship with business and trade press, local and national business and industry media outlets
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills
  • Outstanding communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • BA/MA degree in Journalism, PR, Communications or related discipline
