Position Summary:
We believe technology is the key to solving the global healthcare challenge and transforming healthcare for the benefit of Patients, Providers and Payers.  Our Strategic Partner Manager – Acute & Payer Markets will lead PointClickCare’s engagement with software, services and technology vendors that can help power, enhance or accelerate the distribution of PointClickCare’s Integrated Care Coordination and Value Based Care solutions.  The Strategic Partner Manager will support PointClickCare’s Senior Leadership Team to identify and drive partnerships from deal close to operationalization, from product launch to ongoing performance management and expansion while also tracking and proactively resolving business issues.
You are curious and passionate about learning how our solutions serve our customers’ needs.  You enjoy working cross-functionally, with particular focus on Product and Go-To-Market strategy development and execution. Additionally, you have real experience working with multiple partners and are comfortable in an entrepreneurial environment.  This role will report directly to the VP, Partnerships & Strategic Alliances. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is comfortable in a rapidly changing environment and who takes a strategic approach to partner management. You must have the ability to bridge short term goals with longer term strategy and the capability to create a well-ordered framework of action.

Responsibilities (General Partnership Management)

  • Bring partnerships from initial identification through to deal close and operationalization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to structure and execute business initiatives, develop work plans, lead analysis and develop and communicate final recommendations.
  • Identify, create, negotiate and implement effective business development agreements that drive results.
  • Work collaboratively cross-functionally with sales, marketing, engineering, product management, legal, corporate strategy and communications to execute our obligations as articulated in each partnership.
  • Scale, nurture, and optimize partnerships beyond launch, identifying mutually beneficial opportunities to grow the partnership.
  • Maintain consultative business relationships with partners to gain exposure to partners’ business initiatives to positively impact growth.
  • Track and resolve business issues with our partners.
  • Lead quarterly business reviews with partners and offer a strategic and analytical perspective of the partnership.
  • Represent the Partnerships Team in meetings with executives from partner companies in acute care.
  • Advocate for the partner internally and for PointClickCare team's needs externally with the partner.
  • Maintain all partnership records, including interactions, meetings and materials, in Salesforce.
  • This role will initially focus on growing the PointClickCare acute and payer network through partnerships with Health Information Exchanges across the US. 

Responsibilities (HIE Partner-Category Management)

  • Coordinate with Government Affairs and Marketplace Partnerships team on partnership models, project prioritization, and relationship management of HIE partners.  
  • Align all internal and external stakeholders around technical and timing requirements for HIE integration project completion.  
  • Build and maintain project schedule; hold all stakeholders accountable for their required deliverables.  
  • Eliminate obstacles and identify appropriate escalations when projects are at risk.  
  • Engage with customers, in collaboration with customer facing teams, to educate them on best practice around integration enablement and the expectations therein. Help to facilitate all administrative and technical requirements with customers.  
  • Launch: build and disseminate all internal communications to customer facing teams to ensure awareness and promotion of existing HIE integrations.  

Required Experience:

  • B.Sc. or B.A. from a university is a must.  MBA is preferred.
  • Significant experience in business strategy and/or partnerships at leading SaaS or software company, or strategy consulting firm.
  • Sound business judgment and ability to prioritize and triage partner-related issues.
  • Comfort with a fast-paced, always-on environment.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.
  • Experienced in leading cross-functional teams to orchestrate, collaborate, and successfully seize opportunities.
  • Skilled at negotiating, navigating, understanding, and enforcing contracts.
  • Strong technical competence or tech-curious and motivated to learn.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in acute care and payer healthcare markets is a strong plus.
