Tealium is seeking an analyst to manage the administration of the global variable compensation process, reporting to our Director of Finance Operations. This role will be at the forefront of maintaining accurate SaaS metrics and will serve as a subject matter expert for everything that is variable compensation related.


  • Collaborate with the Sales and Revenue Execution organization, understanding the construct of contracts and related financial metrics
  • Liaise with Sales Operations in creating and managing Sales Compensation Plans
  • Become a subject matter expert on all aspects of the Variable Compensation process
  • Support the day-to-day administration of incentive compensation plans for eligible employees including maintaining employee attainment data
  • Calculate, analyze, and facilitate payroll submissions related to monthly variable compensation
  • Own the financial close processes relating to incentive compensation including posting journal entries, maintaining accrual support schedules, and related account reconciliations
  • Track and report on sales performance to senior management
  • Provide the Finance Team with data to support budgeting and forecasting process
  • Be a supportive business partner for payees by providing commission calculation statements along with support for all variable compensation related inquiries and resolving escalations
  • Proactively identify comp related issues and/or process gaps and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to resolve
  • Responsible for helping to ensure company KPI integritySupport the Finance Team by performing ad-hoc revenue operations reporting


  • You have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • You have 2+ years of experience in Finance or accounting roles
  • SaaS industry and related key performance indicators experience is preferred
  • Software Revenue Recognition (ASC 606) experience is a huge plus
  • Experience with the following platforms preferred: Salesforce, Tableau, NetSuite, and related SaaS business tools and/or you are software savvy
  • You possess advanced Excel or Google Sheets skillsYou are self-motivated with the ability perform tasks independently in a remote work environment
  • You have proven relationship building and customer support abilities. 
  • You possess strong analytical & modeling experience
  • You adapt quickly to changes in a dynamic organizational structure and business processes
  • While serving as a business partner to the team we support, you are willing and able to professionally challenge operational metrics with the objective of maintaining accurate reporting
