We are seeking a BEDI Lead: Program & Policies who is committed to effecting change by furthering our BEDI mission. 

You’re excited about this opportunity because you will:

  • Develop, execute, and refine BEDI programs that further the progress towards the achievement of Udemy’s BEDI goals and strategy
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand BEDI initiatives within each org and serve as a partner for further develop those efforts
  • Evaluate BEDI program effectiveness, using data to drive program improvements
  • Identify and build relationships with external partners that deliver impact and support our BEDI strategies for underrepresented groups/systemically marginalized populations
  • Support the Director of BEDI in managing the work of our Global BEDI Council 
  • Ensure ongoing success and productivity of employee resource groups (ERGs) by hosting quarterly synch meetings with leads, overseeing regular effectiveness evaluations, and serving as a point of contact and consultative partner for employees wishing to launch new ERGs
  • Partner with our ERG to maximize value to BEDI efforts and business impact while ensuring alignment and integration of ERG strategic plans, budgets, and programming
  • Conduct research of diversity industry best practices, recommendations, and statistics in preparation for presentations and meeting facilitation, etc
  • Audit existing policies, procedures, and practices from a BEDI perspective and provide recommendations in the development and/or enhancement of new and existing policies/procedures
  • Facilitate and lead educational programs and trainings in collaboration with the L&D team to support the company's commitment to BEDI
  • Report and present on initiatives quarterly to share impact of the strategy including additional proposals for continued improvement and areas of opportunity

You’ll add value to our team with:

  • Personal commitment to and passion for belonging, equity, diversity, and inclusion
  • Continuous learning on BEDI topics and applying knowledge to effect change personally and professionally
  • 7+ years of professional work experience, with 3-5+ years of DEI work experience executing DEI strategies on a company wide scale (international experience is a plus)
  • Previous experience leading DEI related programs
  • Ability to manage cross functional projects, coordinating due dates and deliverables with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong collaboration and relationship building skills
  • Understanding of BEDI topics such as equity, diversity, microaggressions, bias and privilege 
  • A growth mindset
