About the Role:
Matterport is looking to hire a Billing Systems Manager.  The role will be the functional owner and SME of Merchant and Partner Billing Systems.  This position will be responsible for evaluating current capabilities of merchant and partner billing systems and developing requirements for any gaps and future needs.   The position can be remote while our headquarters are in Sunnyvale, California and reports directly to the Director of IT

What you will do:

  • Develop plans with a goal of identifying permanent fixes for billing issues
  • Research and work with cross-functional team to solve day to day billing issues raised by various stakeholders
  • Work with stakeholders to develop preventive measures to avoid billing errors 
  • Champion the automation of various billing functions.
  • Hire, develop and mentor a world-class team

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an IT, MIS, related discipline or equivalent
  • 7+ year’s experience in Payments, Financial Services, or Management Consulting with billing, pricing experience
  • Shown experience with Zuora applications preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of work, work autonomously with minimal oversight, and be proactive with communications and task prioritization
  • Hands-on experience with configuring systems and troubleshooting issues
  • Understanding of IT and SOX compliance processes, including SDLC and change management
  • Experience with multiple software delivery lifecycle methodologies such as Waterfall and Agile
  • Detailed experience performing detailed gap analysis, and preparing as-is & to-be process documentation
  • Proven experience preparing end-user documentation and conducting end-user training
  • Ability to work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation and may require collaboration across multiple functional/technical teams
  • Ability to think out-of-the-box to find creative solutions
  • Ability to communicate in a clear and concise professional manner, tailored to the appropriate audience; including both verbal and written communications
  • Continuously focuses on and develops professional skills and masters new tools/techniques
  • Business and technical aptitude; ability to connect with both business users and technical associates
  • Required technical background and experience to evaluate billing systems and ability to communicate business requirements to functional requirements for engineering
  • Able to work in the details while also being able to step back and see the big picture
  • Be the thought leader in enhancing and optimizing Merchant billing capability
  • Team Player - willingness and desire to be part of a strong team and contribute to a strong culture within and across organizations
  • Problem solver,  looking for ways to create efficiencies and improve processes
