About the Role
Shippo is seeking an IT Support Engineer to help support all aspects of Shippo’s IT and SaaS infrastructure. Our IT organization provides an exciting mix of technologies to empower all of our employees with the best tools available. Responsibilities

  • Provide front line support for technical issues across our environment.Perform hardware upgrades and migrations.
  • Resolve problems in a timely manner or escalate on behalf of customers to senior technical staff
  • Handle system access and maintain user accounts, passwords, data integrity & security
  • Provide technical IT Support in an Apple dense environment, Windows 10, support various mobile devices, iPads, printers, and peripherals.
  • Facilitate AV conferencing experiences using Zoom and support its hardware dependencies.
  • Provision laptops, install end-user software, and provide asset management.
  • Diagnose, resolve and provide network support, and general wireless issues.
  • Procure IT peripherals and accessories to ensure a readily available inventory.
  • Resolve IT support requests through all communication channels; see the support request through to its resolution, escalate issues to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with Shippo’s on-boarding team to provision new hires with laptops, access to SaaS-based tools, prep workstations, and provide new hires with IT training.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in Information Technology
  • Excellent communication skills with a consistent desire to help and empower colleagues
  • Strong familiarity with Mac OSX and Windows 10A/V support experience
  • Fundamental understanding of TCP/IP and Wireless technologies
  • Experience with SaaS - Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, Jira, AWS, etc.
  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem solving ability
  • Attention to detail
  • Proven ability to manage critical projects with limited direct supervision
