REMOTE ROLE: We are seeking a Team Lead, Curriculum Developer to run and provide mentorship for a team of Curriculum Developers who are the technical subject matter experts in the development of eLearning course content for learning portals and training communications, Instructor-led training, development of certification paths and exams as well as building training data for virtual environments for learning labs.

Job Overview

Main purpose

  • To run and provide mentorship for a team of Curriculum Developers who are the technical subject matter experts in the development of eLearning course content for learning portals and training communications, Instructor-led training, development of certification paths and exams as well as building training data for virtual environments for learning labs.
  • Responsible for supervising, leading, and motivating team members and are the contact point for the Curriculum Developers. Your role is to communicate and act proactively to ensure smooth team operations and effective collaboration.
  • Working closely with the Team Lead for Instructional Designers, you will be responsible for project plans, content deliverables, resource capacity to ensure project landmarks are met.

Key Accountabilities

  • Ensure that all projects are delivered to meet the project deadlines
  • Ensure that learners are the focus for the development of eLearning courses which have clear, defined learning objectives.
  • Act as the first level of escalation for the Curriculum Developer team issues.
  • Ensure the team follow established processes and encouraging continuous process improvement.
  • Provide regular feedback to team members to develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Work closely with the Manager of Curriculum Development on any team related topics (performance management, expenses, holiday requests etc.).
  • Provide innovative/creative problem solving to meet the needs of the business in a fast-changing environment.
  • Research learning trends and technologies to support growth of Educational Services and team members.
  • Keep up to date with industry standard best-practice for curriculum and eLearning content development
  • Analysis and development of Certification paths and exams
  • Delegate tasks and set deadlines

Work Experience & Functional/Technical Skills

  • In depth experience of adult curriculum development and learning methodologies
  • Proven work experience as a team leader or supervisor
  • Demonstrable experience collaborating with diverse teams, providing leadership/mentorship to other professionals, providing feedback and quality-control for a variety of deliverables, and effectively managing complex projects are also required.
  • Demonstrable success working in a fast-changing environment on multiple projects with various degrees of complexity.
  • Experience of curriculum development and varied learning approaches
  • Understand and has worked within an Agile framework
  • Provide project metrics to leadership

Education and Certifications

  • Bachelors Degree
