As a Guidewire Solution Consultant, you will be empowered to sell the features, capabilities, and most importantly the value of Guidewire as a modern analytics platform to some of the largest property and casualty insurance companies.By combining internet-scale data listening, adaptive machine leaning, and insurance risk modeling, our Analytics solutions provide insights and analytical capabilities that enable our customers and prospects to take advantage of new opportunities, accurately price exposures, and get the most out of their operations and service processes. The Guidewire Cloud Platform brings data and analytics together to enable insurers to generate underwriting insights, understand risks accurately, automate claims processing, develop new products, and take advantage of new opportunities to advance their business goals based on data driven decisions.
During strategic sales events, you will articulate Guidewire's vision and craft sophisticated solution demonstrations while leading analytic-centric discussions that outline Guidewire’ Data and Analytics holistic benefits.A successful Solution Consultant works side-by-side with our customers and prospects to find the right solutions while ensuring that our product management and engineering teams are kept abreast of product strengths and weaknesses and market requirements. This position requires a unique blend of insurance industry knowledge, presentation skills, and a passion for data and analytics.
Note: Post Covid, 55 - 65% travel is required for this role in the US and Canada, with some week-to-week variance.Guidewire promotes flexible working practices to strive for a work-life balance.

KEY ACTIVITIES FOR THE ANALYTICS SOLUTION CONSULTANT INCLUDE:

  • Working in tandem with the sales executives to actively sell Guidewire's data and analytics solutions
  • Supporting the sales team as an authority on the functional and business aspects of our data and analytics solutions throughout the sales cycle
  • Serving as a pre-sales functional point-of-contact for customers
  • Conducting presentation and whiteboard sessions outlining how Guidewire’s capabilities fit within a customer’s broader ecosystem in a consultative approach
  • Responding to requests for information or proposal (product sections)
  • Partnering with clients' business and technical teams to identify business objectives and requirements.
  • Identifying new platform requirements and working with product management to craft solutions for those requirements
  • Occasionally representing Guidewire for speaking engagements at trade shows, conferences, and industry meetings

DESIRED AREAS OF EXPERTISE:

  • 5+ years in a customer-facing role (ideally pre-sales, but also client consulting and client success roles), or relevant analytics experience in a non-pre-sales role in the insurance domain (P&C insurance in particular)
  • Some domain expertise in most of the following: underwriting risk analytics, cat modeling / GIS systems, basic data science and/or data analytics, working with databases and APIs
  • General knowledge of modern enterprise software technologies
  • Experience presenting to senior customer executives
  • Confirmed ability to understand business process needs and to conceptualize which requirements are satisfied through our solutions
  • Analytics-savvy and should learn quickly and adapt to the use of new tools
